54
Fell asleep during the first half, what was the Chelsea first goal like?
Aphrodite
You see people being brought back for a yellow card after the advantage has happened. Shouldn't it be a red card here? The offence is denying a goal scoring opportunity. The opportunity hasn't been denied so no red card.
Tiresias
Cech doesn't have to be off as play was allowed to go on and a goal wasn't stopped. Chelsea down to 10 would have parked bus, ruined game, good decision.
Sima
You see people being brought back for a yellow card after the advantage has happened. Shouldn't it be a red card here? Rules might be different for a red. Fuck knows.
Stifler
No you wouldn't rather have 2-1 you fucking muppet You would but the red card should still be shown. No reason why it isn't.

Ashley17
You see people being brought back for a yellow card after the advantage has happened. Shouldn't it be a red card here? For what, denying a goalscoring opportunity when a goal has been scored?

durhamunigeordie
You see people being brought back for a yellow card after the advantage has happened. Shouldn't it be a red card here? The red card would be for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. If they've scored then that hasn't happened. Could book him for the foul though maybe? Segun Oluwaniyi
Why were Chelsea pushing so far forward? Obi and the two centrebacks were the only players in vaguely defensive positions with a two goal lead in the second half.

Stu
No you wouldn't rather have 2-1 you fucking muppet Why not? You'd rather have the goal in the bag, Chelsea have already lost a defender - regardless of any possible red card offence. Similar to the Barca - Arsenal champs league final in 06 (?). The ref admitted after that he should have kept it 11 v 11 and allowed the goal to stand.

How many times have lower teams been punched just because of the intent and not actually the offence? No reason why he shouldn't be off for intent. Doesn't quite work that way, you can give advantage anywhere on the pitch and go back and book or send someone off, but when its the GK and advantage is played it never happens. Its like an unwritten rule, just very odd.

I'm responding to Townsend's comment that Tottenham fans would rather have a goal rather than a penalty and their opposition down to 10.
