Lotus
Definitely did enough to start against Fulham. Think with Sissoko and Marveaux in the middle we'd do quite well against Fulham.
Flip
Good little player. Still a bit slow at times, but is just a simple footballer. Needs to start. With Marv/Cabaye ahead.
Andy
Good footballer. Played well. Won't start next week.
themanupstairs
Hopefully this was a good start to a lengthy spell in the starting line up. Such a tidy and uncomplicated little player. Exactly what we need in midfield. Play him in a 3 with Sissoko and an advanced Cabaye would have been the way forward this season.
Jayson
Our best player by far, only one who kept it together and consistantly created

Taylor Swift
Yeah. Anita is Cabaye's replacement. We don't need any more slow midfielders who can't run with the ball. We need quick wingers/strikers who can make things happen because god knows Pardew ain't going to coach them how to attack.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Didn't run around losing the ball, charging into players and going for the odd lunge. Disappointing. Drop him.
aussiemag
I think Anita is far superior to Cabaye in that deep-lying playmaker/ ticker player. Only thing Cabaye has over Anita is his ability to hit a freekick and the odd goal outside the box.
Mole_Toonfan
Playing in the role we signed him for alongside a B2B mid and he performs.... shock and horror. He and Sissoko were good today, desperately need some creativity and width ahead of them though.

I prefer Marveaux there, but seeing as Cabaye is (was) one of our purples, playing him in the advanced role would have made a lot more sense than playing him deep with Tiote and Sissoko ahead of them. Mole_Toonfan
We need an attacking midfielder whether Cabaye goes or not.... Marveaux is clearly not trusted and none of the others can do it properly. I'm happy with Anita and Sissoko but there needs to a proper 10 in front of them, even more important than signing a striker in my eyes.
mrmojorisin75
Would let cabaye walk on the basis of that performance from big vurn myself
Tiresias
Doesnt offer as much going forward as Cabaye does, he's just very good at keeping posession
r0cafella
Why not play all 3? Anita Cabaye Moussa. Our best midfield imo.
Tiresias
Cabaye won't play for us again tbh, he'll be off on deadline day to a less than hoped for amount and not replaced. Our best mid is marv sissoko anita
Mole_Toonfan
Why not play all 3? Anita Cabaye Moussa. Our best midfield imo. Aye it is but i highly doubt Cabaye is going to be here tbh.
r0cafella
I agree lads Cabaye will be flogged and replaced in January... It leaves us at the mercy of: Pardew's shit team selections and injuries. Personally i don't rate Gosling or Bigi I can see Jonas being reinvented as a central midfielder once Cabaye goes.
Ketsbaia
Very tidy player but we already knew that. I wonder what Pardew thinks.
Klaus
A very tidy player yes, but never stands out IMO, always seems to tick over nicely without really creating or having a massive influence on the match.
aussiemag
I think if we played it like this today we would have won. Sissoko Anita HBA Marveaux Sammy Gouffran

Skeletor
A very tidy player yes, but never stands out IMO, always seems to tick over nicely without really creating or having a massive influence on the match. That was his role at Ajax, To cover the space left behind by attacking forwards/Midfielders and to recycle possession.
Tiresias
Tiote stands out a lot in all the wrong ways. Anita is there to keep posession and stifle the opposition from getting too many chances. The kind of modern defensive style that Pardew hates.
