nufc4eva
In a team that attempts to play football he would be fantastic, in our team he is let down by the rest of the clowns in our team every player in front of him is thick as fuck whereas he seems to know where he needs to play next ball. If we had a team with clever movement he would thrive

Tiotes Witch Doctor
Was pushed further forward later in the match and looked excellent, always looks better the higher up the pitch he is IMO, though he is very good playing deep also.
BrettNUFC
Shows the passion and commitment the players still have. That reaction was superb and hilarious at the same time.
loki679
Love little Vurn. Good going forward and tracking back and very good technique. Cracking player.
SteveMc
Love him me- little metronomic superstar. Add a few goals and he'll be 'top drawer'
Exiled in Texas
Wonder what else we could get from Ajax that might improve our team. Would love to see some more of that movement/passing in the team

r0cafella
I love big vurn to bits but I can't help but think he's too light weight to be playing in this league

r0cafella
Our set up and tactics let him down more than his stature. I don't disagree mate but for me having Tiote and him in the same midfield doesn't really work

I don't disagree mate but for me having Tiote and him in the same midfield doesn't really work I agree. As much as Anita can look okay going forward at times late in the game, it's a big ask of him to be the driving force going forward that Tiote will never be. Which makes not replacing Cabaye all the more foolish.

I think best case scenario for us would be a 4231 Tiote and Anita holding tiote being the ball winner and Anita distributing the ball with a new attacking midfielder who's job it is to link the play and drive forward

LoveItIfWeBeatU
I don't really know why NUFC bought Anita. Anita is neat and tidy and a trier but but due to his lack of height he struggles to win physical battles against opposition players. He also wasn't cheap at €8.5 million (£6.7 million) so he didn't really fit the NUFC transfer policy, especially when he was our only purchase that transfer window. Still think he was bought that summer in the event someone made a big bid for Cabaye.

Not exactly like-for-like but he was bought with the intention of drafting him into Cabaye's place in the first XI when he inevitably moved on.
