Or maybe Santon is going to the right? By all accounts Anita is a CM. Can play left back in a pinch but it'd be a real waste of his talents making that his primary position. I said it a few weeks ago but as soon as we make one first team signing in a position that needs strengthening, the whole situation will suddenly look absolutely miles better. In theory not necessarily, it should be the system we use but we could also play 4-3-1-2 with Hatem behind Ba and Cisse but give him the freedom to move across the front line and use fullbacks to provide extra width. Plus Pards has said previously he'd love a utility player who could go into afew positions. I don't remember which player he used as an example....might have been John o'Shea but regardless it's good to have. Just look at the role Perch played last season and he's not the most gifted. Or a 4-2-3-1 with Cabaye centre attacking, Ben Arfa right attack and Ba left attack I would prefer that also but Pardew seems to have promised Ba a central role this year.
