Official: Daniel Sturridge is injured

Recommended Posts

Despite his injury record, this is way more of a sure thing then a permanent transfer for someone out of the Dutch or Brazilian leagues.

Even if he played in half of our remaining games that might be enough to help keep us up.

The loan fee and wages aren’t even that much, so this is all very sensible. Which is why I expect him to be pictured next to Pardew in 48 hours.

What fucking intent would that be ? Loaning a player so we don't have to buy one. What a fucking joke, not Sturridge obviously but the way this club works under Ashley.

We can buy a player, but is it worth spending over the odds on a somewhat unknown, if someone with proven class is available on loan?

You have that risk anytime don't you, if buy from abroad especially, I get the proven class part mind. Someone else has said it, say we do stay up we're back to square one.

Why can't we treat the manager and in turn us the fans with a bit of respect, and buy him the players though while expensive, are not unreasonable prices compared to some these days. It's pathetic how we're scrambling around on the 29th of January, utterly pathetic.

I don't really care at this point, just want to stay up this season, and hopefully Ashley will fuck off in the summer and we'll have new owners.

Fully expecting to see Klopp's pre match Press Conference on Friday talking about how Sturridge will train with the squad and be given a chance if the opportunity arises after we penny pinch as per.

£3.6m outlay for Sturridge or £20m for Nico.

Sturridge makes a lot more sense. It is actually worse from a financial point of view though for the club other than us staying up because of it.

Well yeah, but staying up will make it financially a lot better deal. We could spend £20m on Jorgensen and he still might not score goals. At least with Sturridge it's just about his fitness. For £3.5m you are getting virtually guaranteed goals.

What are the odds for him staying fit for the rest of the season? Pretty far from virtually guaranteed goals.

Would still obviously love this to happen despite hating loans, Sturridge and his godawful celebration.

Of all the strikers you wouldn't want to go to a relegation rival, who would it be? Yeah I thought so. It's a risk, but probably our best chance of staying up all things considered.

Get him, sell Gayle, give him the number 9 shirt, stump the extra for Jorgensen.

Yeah no chance that backfires immediately at all [emoji38]

How could it backfire?  We'd miss seeing Gayle be shit for a few games?

You could guarantee Sturridge would immediately get injured and Jorgenson would be crap.

An injured Sturridge would still look better than Gayle.

How could it backfire?  We'd miss seeing Gayle be s*** for a few games?

I'd be more confident they'd score 7 between them in the remaining games than Gayle & Joselu even if you're right
