Lets try 3-5-2

Let's just try left footed players on the left and right footed players on the right.

I couldn't give a toss what formation we then put them in, as without it it's just a collection of round pegs in square holes. Which is why we've got no final ball, no creativity, and are shite and slow going forward.

Has anyone watched the recent series of The Office? I think it's gone really downhill personally. Then again, there aren't that many good comedies still being produced, and comedies very rarely fail to go downhill after they've been on air for a while.

Assuming the same diameter/width, a round peg would fit in a square hole.

I feel like a team would have to be really poor at the moment for us to look comfortably the better side. If any team sets up just solid and vaguely competent defensively, we look clueless.

I think it's a tactic tbh, set up to play the most tedious football possible and hope you sneak a goal at some point.  Like Pardew said last season "sometimes (i.e. always) you need to wait for the win to come to you".  In other words there is generally no desire to pro-actively go out there and get the win.

In a way I've no problem with it because it's effective.  I don't enjoy watching us though, which annoys me since I devote a fair bit of time to it.
