sempuki
After the experience of paying Joey Barton's salary as he resided at Her Majesty's Pleasure, there's absolutely no way Ashley is going to take the risk with Remy. One of the things I wouldn't blame him for.
Stuy_O
I think people might be overestimating the moral values of the club. If he's available on a good deal financially, I would think we'd take legal advise as to the likelihood of a conviction and that's that. Very true, also seems to be an over estimation on our boardrooms pride. If Remy is available at a good price we'll certainly be looking. Wether he rejected us in the past will mean little to Ashley when it's cost effective.
Dave
I also think we'd be offering lower wages than January, which could well be a factor.

No Barton wasn't paid during his time inside Yes, on research, that's my error. I think my general point is valid though. That Ashley had a bad experience with Barton, and as a result would be the last owner to want to take a chance with Remy. Not that I think any other owner would, at this point. biggs
This thread was traumatic in January. Remy would be a good fit but not comfortable about the rape thing. good fit and rape in the same sentence

Dr Venkman
We speak to people so we can be kept in the loop then say we tried. Standard procedure tbh. Is it? It would seem so, i wasn't being entirely serious either. How's that? You referring to Aubameyang? Aye.... i should stop being sarcastic i just end up looking rather stupid. Good lad.
Crumpy Gunt
Can't really knock the mackems for appointing a fascist manager then buy a rapist striker. Has he been accused or convicted?

AyeDubbleYoo
Gotta love the phrasing of transfer bollocks. Look set too = probably, that's just common sense and might happen Wide of the mark = we made it up yesterday and it didn't happen Linked with = the manager used to work with him and/or his club are desperate to sell Join the race = it's possible they might make a bid Top transfer target = answered a question about how good a player he was Etc. Ste
I wouldn't sign him until his trial is done and only if he's found to be innocent. Some other club will take a punt on him before then though and he won't want to play Championship football until January.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Not taking Remy at £6.8m is an absolutely ridiculous decision imo.
AyeDubbleYoo
Not taking Remy at £6.8m is an absolutely ridiculous decision imo. Are we doing that? Definitely agree he's worth that, especially with a bit of PL football under his belt. (Obvious question mark is the rape thing)

Guest Nobbys Trumpet
Well worth 6.8 million if he's not guilty, used to play as a winger back in the day as well so could fill that Demba Ba role as a LW/LF in a 4-3-
Ketsbaia
Ryder talks bollocks and licks windows, surely we'll be in for Remy. And if we aren't now, we will be once we miss out on a few more targets.
