Last week we were prepared to pay £6.5m for Kone who had a £5m release clause. You'd think they'd get the f*ckin' facts right before printing such garbage. I don't love Taylor but if he goes before Williamson I'll be annoyed. As long as "Willo" is still at the club he will always end up getting an extended run in the team. Completely agree, but if we have 3 reliable CBs in front of Williamson fitness wise i won't be complaining either but yeah as said a long way from that at the moment and likely won't happen. I'd be happy to see him used as a make-weight for Remy (although a straight-up £6.8m would hardly be pushing it), but we absolutely must invest in a replacement defender because Williamson is a million miles away from good enough.
