If Remy went to Arsenal, he'd be a squad player behind Giroud and Sanchez.

He's strong and fast and would be a good signing for us, but I think most CL clubs would want a player with a more consistent touch on the ball.

I can see him breaking into the team quite easily, him being able to play out wide and up top and with Arsenal's injury records.  Remy will find a place in the line up or in the treatment room.

They're boosting depth, but failing to buy a certain standard. Bony and Remy are good but will only get you so far.

No replacement for Suarez, that's for sure. Alexis Sanchez would have been a different story.

Even then, the sheer quantity of goals they have to score to emulate last season. Unless all of a sudden the defence improves.

Everything was built around Suarez. They'll still be challenging for the top 4 but players like that really do make the difference. Just look at England's game against Uruguay.

The story in the Mirror is that Liverpool have asked him to lower his wage demands, and that Arsenal and Spurs have not pursued their interest.

This looks like a case of a player pursuing clubs, and not the other way round.

He felt he was worth a place in  Champions League club and he's proved his point. All our good work pursuing him has come to nothing and Liverpool who finished behind us a couple of seasons ago have cherry picked our pockets.
