Mole_Toonfan
What if they've offered £6 million and Remy for Taylor I think they should considering the clause and everything else.
toontownman
6m plus Williamson and Shola. Simples.... oh right, they have to agree to what we offer.

Teasy
Amazing how many fans would turn down the extra 30k if they were in his shoes when he signed for QPR. Football is about money now, he signed a bigger deal back in Jan. Think we need to get over it. Yeah I definitely couldn't live on £50k a week like. Money is a part of it, but it shouldn't be all of it, and to those who see it as all of it, well they aren't someone most people would want to support every week and I can understand that. He had the choice to go to a team who were already relegated for more money, fine. But people also have the choice to call him a tosser for doing so and a lying c*** for not just admitting that was the reason to begin with. I mean common, the whole FIFA bollocks and constant quotes about how he didn't go there for the money, that more than anything is probably what p*ssed most people off. So you'd turn down 70k with a deal in place that lets you leave for somewhere else anyway if that job goes tits up? Commendable. Doesn't matter if your on 40 or 50k before, more money is more money. Fans can call him what they want yeh and I get your post, but sadly we aren't in the position right now to cast targets off as they previously turned us down. More money is more money, its the suggestion that it should be the only consideration that a lot of people can't understand, me included. The whole thing reeked of him being a total greedy twat. One moment he's set on signing for us and won't even speak to Redknapp about a move to QPR. The next moment he's signed for QPR and is rabbiting on in the press about how it was nothing to do with money. Like I said though I'd take him for what we originally offered in January, not a penny more.
Stuy_O
Not the only consideration, but its always likely to be the most telling one.
Wil
I might have misheard but I am sure in that Radio Newcastle interview that Pardew said he was OK with the defence and that his main concern was the left side and the striking areas. I didn't get the impression that he was looking to offload a key defender. He said they had cover for right back because MYM could play there as he was a right-sided player. Yeah he definitely said he was happy with the defence and that Mapou could cover both full back positions. Just can't see him wanting to offload Taylor. Unfortunately that might not rule out Redknapp and Kinnear blagging some kind of swap deal of their own behind the scenes. Hoping that's not the case though. Wallace
If West Ham want £4m for Tompkins then surely Taylor is worth more than that?
BottledDog
Pretty fkn sure they've got our Taylors mixed up. Ryan to replace Remy in the Championship on their wing.

George Bailey
Not for me. thanks but no thanks. Too many risks involved here for us to get bitten on the arse by. A decent player no doubt, fits and ticks a few boxes for us even though he seems a bit bankrupt in the honesty and integrity stakes. Given his royal fucking over of us in Jan. The small matter of a rape allegation hanging over him seals it for me. Innocent till proven guilty I know but....... If we spunk all our money and hopes on this guy and he ends up banged up what then?? Were left up shit creek, out of a transfer window with what? Shola again?? OK I'm sure we would recover money etc, have a clause added etc but from a team point of view we would be right in the clarts. There has to be an alternative in world football who isn't potentially facing a seriously long jail term, surely Why risk it??
Mole_Toonfan
I doubt we would go near him unless we got legal assurances of how likely it is he will be guilty or not guilty. We won't go into this with the possibility of him being guilty, the likelihood of him being not guilty would have be heavily stacked against the guilty likelihood. Or perhaps i'm overestimating the intelligence of the board

Seems an honest and upright lad..
ElDiablo
I'd like to think it's the type of thing that Ashley will get advice on, doesn't part with money on players too easily. If we're trying to do a deal I'd say he's almost definitely going to get off.
Disco
Maybe el Porko just fancies playing with QPR. Be amazed if the first bid meets the release clause. Little NUFC directors/owners love more than brinkmanship for the sake of it.
merlin
The fact that NUFC now have to target a player who has already rejected them for a club now relegated and who faces a serious criminal charge which could side-line him for a couple of seasons shows how far the club has fallen. Just accepting the scraps now - the player is just using the club as a lifeboat.

Stottie
There should be no problem in paying more for Remy now than in January because he's proved himself in the league.
