LRD
So he played wide for Tolouse as well as France...... He has for France. Dunno about Toulouse though. Personal view that he doesn't belong to the wing.
AyeDubbleYoo
He's clearly a CM long-term, I guess there is some debate about how to use him and integrate him until he properly settles. He can probably do a decent job in most of those positions, if the team around him is functioning. I just think we're missing a trick if we don't go for the 4-3-3, it seems to suit all our personnel perfectly.

Dave
Er, I hoped Pardew would know where he wanted to play him by now.
Gallowgate Toon
So he played wide for Tolouse as well as France...... Nope, which makes it all the more baffling.
Jack Flash
He's shit scared of dropping Tiote and Cabaye for some reason. They'll be in the middle at Man City (if they're both still here) and Sissoko will be on the wing.
Chris_R
Our normal midfield 3 is Cabaye, Tiote and Jonas. It scares the living hell out of me that Pardew seems to only see dropping Tiote or Cabaye as an option to get Sissoko in there.
Gallowgate Toon
The sad thing is, Sissoko with one of Cabaye or Tiote would work a lot better than the way Pardew usually does it. Anyway, hopefully Sissoko was just burnt out because he was suddenly made the main man in a new league and that led to his dip in form, he can now share some attacking responsibility with HBA. One thing he stopped doing towards the back end of last year was pass the ball in good positions. He played some lovely through balls when he first came but then barely did any for the last 10 games, that has to improve.
BrettNUFC
I thought he meant he would play. Cisse Gouff Sissoko Ben Arfa Tiote Cabaye But who would come out of Tiote/Cabaye if he was to play Sissoko in the middle and if say Marv was to play in his no10.? Gallowgate Toon
Tiote for most games. Cheik's a useful player to have in games where you need to relieve pressure but we don't need him all the time. Tiote Cabaye Sissoko If we're playing the likes of Chelsea then I'm happy with that but against West Ham at home for example, it should be: Sissoko Cabaye Marveaux
basjen
I thought he meant he would play. Cisse Gouff Sissoko Ben Arfa Tiote Cabaye I don't see why he wouldn't just try swapping Cabaye and Sissoko. Of the deep two, Moussa will of course be the attacker, with Ishmael always holding
arnonel
If we play a number 10, they need to have at least 10+ goals in them. That is not Sissoko.
Ste
Suggests to me that he's happy with 2 in the middle, either a 4-4-2 or a 4-2-3-1 so Sissoko can play behind the striker in number 10 role. Sissoko showed more than Tiote last season so really it should be a case of Tiote being more expendable.
Disco
Massive 4-4-2 indicator there. Shows once again we sign players for bargainous value rather than too fit in the team though.

Teasy
Massive 4-4-2 indicator there. Shows once again we sign players for bargainous value rather than too fit in the team though. The fact that value is a massive part of who we sign is obvious, but little to do with our signings not fitting Pardews "tactics". That happens because Pardew has very little say in the players we sign. Even if we went for the top players on Carr's list at any cost I seriously doubt those players would fit Pardews plans any better. I don't think Andy Carrol and Razor Ruddock would be top of Carr's list.
TRon
Looked a fantastic player to me in his first couple of games. Pardew's quotes about being unsure where to play him really does indicate where the problem lies. Pardew is still the manager basically.
Guest bimpy474
A professional football manager should be able to know his players best position, that after all is a massive part of his job. Picking 11 players. For this clown to continue to talk like a complete unknowning, not me guv fuckwit is boiling my piss.
Jimburst
Fuuuuuucksake man, those are disgusting quotes. No manager worth his salt would even discuss where he reckoned a player would fit in, he should just fucking KNOW.
Guest bimpy474
Also just how badly does Tiote have to play for him to be one left out in the middle, and why not just play all three in there and dominate possession you clueless sexy silver haired cunt. Conjo
Er, I hoped Pardew would know where he wanted to play him by now. Nah, that's up to Sissoko to define for himself.

Guest icemanblue
This upcoming season really is going to be a disaster. isn't it? No one knows, but it's doubtful that it'll be quite as bad as last year. If it makes you feel better, you can just act like it will be anyway? Guest icemanblue
Aye. It gets said a fair bit. We didn't know Hatem's best position, and some would argue we still don't, until he started playing well from the right.
