Varadi
Conceded 0 goals in all his time on the pitch for us. Aye - decent record so far.
Weznufc
super game from him, looks a great player should be in the back 4 this sunday but dont know who comes out
alexf
Can't possibly be dropped after the last two games? Barely put a foot wrong in either. It may seem harsh on the guy dropping out whoever it is but that's what a good manager should do. Afterall it is "france day" at SJP on sunday so he has to play
Quailman
Pardew seemed extremely positive over MYM's contribution and said it was very important that he got to see him in this role. That all points to Pardew being very tempted to slotting him in at CB over the next couple of games! One slip up from Taylor and I can see him straight in and cementing his place. Tiresias
Taylor will start ahead of him Sunday as won't be tired from midweek action mind. I was very impressed by MYM mind
AlanSkÃrare
Yanga-Mbiwa excites me so much. He seems to have all the attributes of a stopper and a sweeper. Pace, strength, agility, reading of the game, confident on the ball and great determination in his tackle. There were situations last night when him and Coloccini helped eachother out through proactive actions, falling in behind eachother and cutting out passes and crosses. And it was their first game together. I also like that Mapou makes us a lot less vulnerable when defending with a high line. To have Steven Taylor on form AND this lad besides Coloccini. Best CB set up I've seen at the club.
nufc4eva
Looks class - some quality interceptions last night and seems to cover ground very well. Looks strong, quick and very competent with the ball at his feet. So good having 3 good Centre Halves until end of season with him also able to cover Right Back in emergencies. Hopefully we will sort out Colo thing in summer and replace if he does go. Who would we get though that would be near that level for a reasonable fee. Quick to the Carr phone

Quick to the Carr phone My hope is Alderweireld from Ajax but he'll probably go to a CL club and i'm expecting the club to go for a younger player to compete with Taylor and Mbiwa takes Colo's role as the undisputed starter. sugoinufc
Douglas to come in if Colo goes. Sakho. Im not so keen on Douglas anymore...hardly know anything about him though...just what i read on here. Do you still like him over sakho etc.?

Skeletor
Why would PSG sell Sakho? Will have 12 months left on his contract in the summer and has been making noises about leaving for a while. Might change once Ancelotti goes though.

Mole_Toonfan
Why would PSG sell Sakho? Aye i think they will do in the summer, the problem with that though is much bigger and richer clubs than ourselves will be snooping around.

Wilson
Is Douglas what we need when colo leaves? Pretty much, we've already got Colo's replacement imo and Douglas would be good to partner Yanga-Mbiwa, we all know (unfortunately) that we can't rely on Taylor staying fit. NUFC_Chris
Who do you start vs Southampton? Saylor or Mapou? Personally thought the centre half pairing last night was really strong, though I think Pardew will but Saylor right back in.
Dave
If Krul is out I think Pardew will rank communication above all, and therefore pick Taylor.
The College Dropout
Taylor regardless.
Disco
Thought this lad tired quite badly on Thursday, nearly cost us a goal (Krul making a worldy) letting his man go from a corner and then preceding to air kick his next clearance. Understandable given he's a little out of practise but as with all the squad it's something to work on. Aside from that I was pretty impressed with him, first time I've seen him play and I look forward to seeing more be it in the league or Europa. So nice to have choice back there after years of make do and mend.
TherealnorthernTOON
Bet Pardew will put Taylor to take care of Ricke Lambert.
SiLvOR
Not really against Taylor starting on Sunday, he hasn't made a complete catastrophe to warrant being dropped yet. It's his shirt to lose. In the mean time, I hope we get to see Mapou start the Europa games, it will keep him in and around the team, whilst helping him integrate with the squad as he waits for his chance in the league. Ronaldo
Still think that if Taylor can stay fit he's a guaranteed starter and rightfully so.
