Vinny Green Balls
David Coverdale @dpcoverdale 6m6 minutes ago Alan Shearer's take on Pardew and Newcastle here. Wants to see Steve Bruce given the job fucks sake as if the frontman of Whitesnake knows fuckall about what Alan Shearer wants.

jdckelly
He's saying don't let bookies odds influence your thinking which strongly suggests it's not Bruce, Carver, McClaren etc as they're at the top. Joe Kinnear, Graham Taylor, Micky Adams
loki679
The same, shit, past it English managers get linked with every single vacancy.
54
People I can think off on the top of my head, Mclaren, Bruce, Dyche, Redknapp, Holloway, Pearce, Clark?
MKSC
Caulkin reporting we're looking for a head coach rather than a manager. Hope to god that is true as it immediately rules out the likes of Bruce.

jdckelly
@CaulkinTheTimes #Nufc want Pardew's successor to be 'head coach' rather than manager - a tracksuit boss whose priority will be improving the players he has. Surely they have to consult Carr then? translation I'm going to sell Sissoko, Cisse and anyone else I can flog off and the idiot who takes this job is getting nothing to replace them so better hope he can turn somebody in the team world class

sempuki
Ah it's going to be Bruce isn't it... The 20 stone lovechild of Clare Balding and Bagpuss is not what we need.
Doctor Zaius
I'd definitely take one of: McLaren Galtier De Boer Howe Karanka
Ronaldo
Bruce is a decent bloke who tactically is on a par with Pardew. I would've taken the replacement in a second 2 days ago.

Ronaldo
I think I'd prefer Hoddle. I like his style.
lovejoy
I'd take Mcclaren, happily.
sempuki
It will be the cheapest one with the best release clause if this is true. Not sure it is though as Ashley does not like paying for managers or indeed anything.
Pilko
I think I'd sooner Carver than Bruce, actually. Bruce would just be a horrendously shit appointment we'd have to pay money for; at least if Carver was bombed out he was free and therefore we might pay smallish compo for the next manager who might be better. Fenham Mag
http://i.imgur.com/75AtjM9.png I'd take McClaren too. Actually has a bit of ambition.

Pilko
McClaren's a funny one, like. Did well with Boro and Twente and doing well at Derby... but an abject failure at Wolfsburg, England and Forest.

I'd imagine Hull would be delighted if we paid them so they don't have to sack Doubtfire
Vinny Green Balls
I'd honestly be relieved if it was McClaren
