themanupstairs
We play with ten men when this guy is on the pitch. His crossing is shit, his dribbling is shit, his tackling is shit. Which just as well since he's a FUCKING STRIKER!!!

Guest Gino14
As much as Gouffran is playing very poorly it's really not his fault. He is what he is, a striker playing out of position. It's completely Pardew's fault for playing him out of position and keeping on playing him, even when he's no good at it. That's not to say he'd be great as a striker for us now either, but it'd still be Pardew's fault if he kept playing him there when he was poor as well. He can probably do a job for us in a few positions from the bench, but he should be nowhere near the starting lineup, unless we have no other wingers or strikers available. Nobody
That bit of "defending" towards the end when he gave away a free kick. Imagine if that was Cabella and they scored from it, we'd never see him again.

Imagine if that was Cabella and they scored from it, we'd never see him again. Yup. I might understand taking Ayoze off at half time, a kid from Spain who wasn't at his best on a cold Tuesday night at Turf Moor (but still posed 100 times more threat than anyone else mind). But I will never understand taking him off while Gouffran stays on the pitch. It is one of those sickening "managerial" decisions and you just knew it was coming. Ryan_Taylor
I'm not really sure how he got back in the team. We looked shit loads better without him, were winning as well. Then bam, Gouff's back in and we look lopsided and unbalanced again.
loki679
To the naked eye he might seem to offer nothing to the team and be an active detriment to our play but he's a dead cert for the ballon d'or according to the stats. Fuck you, Cristiano, you should have tracked back more.
toptoon
I'm not really sure how he got back in the team. We looked s*** loads better without him, were winning as well. Then bam, Gouff's back in and we look lopsided and unbalanced again. 100% agree with this. Absolute dogshite decision to drop Cabella and play Gouffran instead. It has completely fucked things up for us. Got a horrible feeling he may drop Perez next! Go back to laying two quick wingers, Perez up top and Sissoko, Abeid and Colback in CM FFS !! There was no need to stop playing two quick wingers and Perez up top !!
Tiotes Witch Doctor
His favourites always creep back into the mix after a while regardless of performances, I have no doubt his preferred 11 in his head is Krul Janmaat Colo Williamson Dummett Raylor Colback Tiote Sissoko Gouffran Cisse In fact you could probably even swap Raylor and Sissoko. Wullie
How this lad did not get subbed I will never know. Awful. Really? It's an expression. I know it is but he'll be a permanent fixture in the team for the foreseeable (unless the manager finds a new auxiliary full back, as Gouffran replaced Jonas). I gave up getting frustrated about it a long time ago.
