Newcastle United vs. Metalist Kharkiv - 14/02/13 @ 8:05pm GMT (Live on ESPN)

Recommended Posts

Best possible team:

                                Krul

Santon        Yanga-Mbiwa    Taylor        Haidara

                      Tiote            Cabaye

                              Sissoko

        Obertan                      Marveaux

                              Cisse

Think we might see both the Ameobi's, Simpson and Williamson though :scared:

I like that.

With Cabaye coming back from his injury and playing the full game for France last week i think he will be rested,  he looked wrecked in the latter stages of the game today and same with Santon,  maybe a chance to see what Haidara is like and rest Santon.  Apart from those two though i'd expect as strong a team as possible.

I predict

                        Krul

Simpson  Mbiwa  Colo  Haidara

Obertan    Tiote  Anita  Marveaux

              Shola  Cisse

And it will be rubbish until pardew shunts Cisse onto the wing, and Marv centrally about 20 mins in, and then it will be merely 'ok'

Strongest 11 win big is what we need,, resting players but a strong bench for the away leg/

With no game the following weekend, and the fact I'm heading all the way out to the Ukraine, I hope we go as strong as we can and make the most of the home leg. Obviously we have the potential to do an Alkmaar (and that fucking hurt coming home from that game) but with wins against Villa and Chelsea, we have giving ourselves that bit of confidence we could have only dreamt of a fortnight ago. Unlike most of the campaign, we have a strong European squad to fall back on for the away leg, but for the home leg, I want our strongest 11 possible.

If we play half a side at home then have to risk our bigger players to get a result out there, just a few days before a very crucial home league game, I'll be very annoyed.

Guest SuperShola!

Might as well play a full strength team at home and then a weaker side away.

                  Krul,

Simpson, MYM, Colo, Haidara

              Anita, Tiote,

Obertan,    Sissoko,    Marv,

                  Cisse,

Elliot, Santon, Willo, Cabaye, Guti, Shola, Sammy,

3-0 win, Marv and Cisse first half, Sammy second half. I am the oracle!
