Number of excuses he's already got lined up for this season before a ball's been kicked (Kinnear, players not used to not being in Europe, Andy Murray raising Newcastle fans' expectations, the Alan Partridge film being released in early August just when pre-season was taking shape).

This been on here yet btw?: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alan-pardew-determined-hold-newcastle-5065722

The number of positions in the team he got Jonas as a first choice (goalie, defence, midtfield, attack)...

4th, we do not want to end up there. Thtat means Champions League and to many games - distracting the players and taking the fokus off ending up mid-table at most, early exit in the cups so he can spend more time on the Casino...

Eh? How do you know we haven't made formal contact with the managers/chairmen/whatever of both of those players?

Or that both clubs/managers have clearly let it be known they want rid. Which is slightly different to Cabaye.

It has to be said in defence of Pardew that despite his faults, it now seems that whatever he does/doesn't do ; says/doesn't say, will just be twisted into a negative connotation, no matter how ludicrous, used as a stick to beat him with and assumed to be fact by the like minded.

He talked shite most of last season and what makes you think this one will be any different

My guess will throw in some more excuses, i will get behind him if he is taking us in the right direction but if the cups are neglected again but still waffles on about "i know what the Cup means to this football club" then i will not believe another word he says .
