Biggest opening day loss in 20(?) years

Most shots without any shots on target in 8 years

Our worst football came under Fat Sam. Simple as that.

Nope. This is the worst I've seen us play. At the time of Big Sam we had a team of prima donna mercenaries. We finished 5th with a blistering end to the season before last with a very good style of play that has never been seen since.

4 consecutive PL games at SJP without a goal. Is that a record?

I believe it is. Someone mentioned it earlier.

Would have been 4 defeats on the trot, i think that was it earlier mate.

Did some rather depressing fact-finding and delving through statistics from our previous results...

Last 13 Premier League games:

Scored = 7

Conceded = 20

Shots = 141

On target = 60

Average Accuracy = 42.6%

Goal Conversion (from on target) = 11.6%

Goal Conversion (from all shots) = 5%

Probably not that horrendous compared to other teams, but utterly depressing nonetheless. Over 6 hours of football since we last scored a goal at home in the league.

He has to go, he has to. We need to do something or the season is going to be a massive struggle.

I agree but the problem is the cretin who runs the club will hand the reigns over to Kinnear rather than a quality appointment. It's like choosing between being drowned or burrnt at the stake, :lol:

I think it's too late, we could still sign a few class players i suppose but don't think it's likely and any new manager is going to have have an instant impact. The next few games will detirmine our season imo.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew: "We had to dig-in after Man City and show resilience. Defensively we couldn't have put in a better performance."

That just sums him up. He's a grade A coward.

He did realise it was Wham right ?. A team that's awful away from home, who rarely threaten to score.

If we fail to beat Fulham he'll just get booed again. What's the point?

Personally speaking i feel it's important we express our dissatisfaction.

Be nice to do it like men instead of bitchy little cowards.

How should we do it then?

At the game is the only chance the fans get to communicate with the club.
