TRon
The daft thing is, he actually fucked up his own surprisingly effective starting formation by taking Shola off. City weren't interested and their central defenders couldn't handle the long ball tactic. It was Pards the Tacktishun back to second half meltdown mode in all his glory. Former Palace star Pardew still has a house in the area Time to go home? Former Palace star Pardew still has a house in the area Matthew Lewis Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is a shock inclusion on the list of managerial targets for his rock-bottom former club Crystal Palace. The Londoners were initially expecting to hire an out-of-work manager to succeed Ian Holloway - who stepped down last week - in order to speed up the process. But now they are understood to have been alerted to Pardew’s interest by an intermediary. Palace chairman Steve Parish has publicly stated that he would prefer to hire a manager with links to the club. Pardew, 52, played 130 games for the club and famously scored the last-minute goal that beat Liverpool in the 1990 FA Cup semi-finals. He still has a house in Surrey and is thought to be weighing up the pros and cons of leaving the Geordies, who were knocked out of the League Cup on Wednesday by Manchester City. Jobless former Stoke boss Tony Pulis was Palace’s first choice to take over, but the Welshman’s hesitation in taking the job has put off key decision-makers at Selhurst Park - as have his wage demands of nearly £2million per year, including bonuses. Parish is considering plenty of options in a bid to steer Palace away from relegation. He was reportedly very impressed after discussions with Wales boss and former Palace defender Chris Coleman, and had a meeting with former Aston Villa and Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill on Wednesday. As if.

Seriously, how many times has Shola been able to play like that for more than an hour in his entire career? But why let the facts get in the way of your agenda. Pardews rubbish, yes we've got that. How many strikers have been let go and not replaced in the squad in the last 3 seasons?...Remy was being protected for the same reason. Who's responsible for squad additions again?...why is Shola still getting first team games here??. I swear some of you lot on here are should be f****n sectioned. You're not showing how much you know about football by blaming every single thing that's wrong at the club on Pardew, you're in fact showing the diametric opposite. Am pretty far from being a Pardew fan before you chuck that out, but ffs try and see things for how they actually are. Pardew is only a part of it, and at the moment and for all of last seasons abysmal showings Ashley is keeping him in the job. Go f****n figure. He was fucking shit man, he was just bigger than Poyata, but he still couldn't direct a header anywhere meaningful. Pards should have stuck with it though and put on Remy on the other flank to Cisse. One of them might have latched onto a lucky knockdown. In the end he just ended up confusing his own players and as usual we were a clueless shambles by the time the final whistle blew. Sticking point is surely the compensation, although I'm inclined to think Ashley would be happy to see the back of him and compromise.

Penn
I don't actually think it will happen mind. A real humping and a hostile atmosphere tonight may have pushed him, but of course we pull out an acceptable performance.

Rich
Step one is definitely Pardew leaving the club, although where we go from there is anyone's guess. I'm fully aware that the problems go far deeper. I'm personally willing to take the gamble ahead of what we currently have as something needs to change, we're treading water at best.
