Always used to love Stoichkov  :'( what a prick.

I always feel a bit hypocritical about getting on my high horse, when I see stuff like this.  When the conditions we keep animals in and the way they are slaughtered, is far from ideal.  But I just don't get hunting for 'sport'.

Pity seeing Hristo doing that. I don't get the slaughter of animals for fun either. Regarding Cruyff's death, Stoichkov has been giving the best testimony/anecdotes of all the footballers that worked under him. They had a sparkling frenemy relationship.

Does it seem this year that everyone's trying a little too hard with April fools jokes?

yep- god knows what would have happened when it was banned in the 70s if there had been internet.

Saw Lee Hurst do standup less than a year ago at the comedy venue he owns in London, which is the Backyard Comedy Club in Bethnal Green. He was really funny like, think he was seriously ill for a while though hence why he disappeared.

I live literally less than two minutes walk  from there and have never been in, looks decent from outside, would you recommend it? Have never usually heard of the rest of the acts on and it's so hard to motivate myself for the journey.

Would 100 per cent recommend it yeah, been a few times. It's one of the best places in London to see new or cult standup, it can be a mixed bag but less so than these gigs where the comics are that new that they're not yet getting paid for them. They generally have 3 comedians on a night and I've always really liked at least 2 of them. Compere is always very good too.

Rumours that the Sunday Times will expose a Premier League doping scandal tomorrow, with 150 players investigated. Performance-enhancing drugs, so I'm assuming our lot are in the clear.

If Leicester are the main offenders I will cry
