That was literally Nolan's only redeeming feature - 'seemed an OK chap'.

Seen him in Mcdonalds at 4am absolutely mortal, a day before we played Liverpool away and he was re-assuring me there was no chance we would get relegated...  :yao:

f***ing hell

Hardly inspiring, don't think he played that game either if i recall. Shearer probably had the spies out

At Barcelona, Mascherano pays alongside another international colleague, Lionel Messi, who he claims is the best player he has ever seen.

"There are people who say Leo could not play against Stoke," he added. "Stoke City? That he cannot play in England? Leo can play anywhere, against anyone. How can anyone doubt that?"

Fabio Capello was often criticised as England manager for his struggle to grasp the language.

But at no point in his time as Three Lions boss did he accidentally call up the wrong player.

However, the Russia coach has this week been left red-faced after unwittingly including a reserve-team player in his squad after a confusion over names.

The Italian, 67, included Lokomotiv Moscow reserve Andrey Semenov on his 23-man list to play Armenia on March 5, when he intended to select the Terek Grozny defender of the same name.

"I was surprised, to say the least..." revealed the lesser-known Semenov.

"Well, I have one year's experience playing for Russia's youth team!"

That is scarily how I imagine Pardew is sometimes.

For example when he said we'd be getting a replacement for Cabaye. He probably thought we were, then discovers we're not and has to go into the press conference and say things like "I didn't necessarily mean this window"

Not sure where to put this but here will probably do...

For those using Gmail, Google calendars etc, you can integrate the World Cup schedule into your calendar and get phone updates etc by going to the dropdown menu next to 'Other Calendars', selecting 'Add by URL' and pasting this: https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/vdmtdcektajkqjk51vvda4ni4k%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
