Sean
He really is our only real threat at the moment, apparently he broke the record for the number of Arial dual won in one game during the Everton game, and got a good assist for the goal. Bruce's team breaking long-ball related records? What a surprise. It's embarrassing that he's even here. The fact he can be said to be our only goal threat is hilarious really. 1964
It was actually a very good knock down for the goal. Too many times you see players just nod them down into a general direction, Carroll actually picked Almiron out. He didn't, it hit the defender on the back before going to almiron
LoveItIfWeBeatU
https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-press-conference-live-17746253 No timescale on Carroll return "I’m sure he’s as frustrated as we all are but unfortunately he’s got to try and get fit and hopefully he will be ready in a couple of weeks or whenever it will be. We’re not putting a time scale on it. It’s just the way it is. It’s a big frustration. There was a time just before Christmas when we were looking and he’s made a few assists and started a few games. It’s exactly why we brought him into the club.” What a shock that a player with a poor injury record is injured.

samptime29
If he could any stay fit, he'd be a reasonable sub to have but just never fit.
Guest
If he could stay fit he’d not be here because West Ham wouldn’t have let his contract run down and he’d have cost actual money and wages.

TRon
Amazing how anyone with more than two brain cells saw this coming a mile off. We did see it, that's why he's on a pay as you play contract. Ashley probably figured if he can make an impact in 10 games, it would be enough to keep us up. Only problem with that of course, is it heaps the pressure on Joelinton who has to start every match because all the other strikers are crocks. TK-421
Tbh I knows he's been injured, but i'm not against him signing a new deal. Problem is, we know how the club works. Carroll will be a striker on the list, and an excuse not to sign another, despite how little he'll feature due to being, you know, made of glass. Nope, he's on a salary (quite a high one) subsidised when he plays. This pay-as-you-play contract for him is overplayed. He's still one of the highest earners at the club, whether he plays or not. TBG
He'll be kept on as a player/coach. Bruce will come out and say "It's fantastic for the club. Who knows, maybe one day he'll be doing my job". The Chronicle will run with an article about what Newcastle winning the league on Football Manager with Carroll in charge says for the future of the club. Disco
Paperback Ryder will be in tears when Lord Andy of Gateshead has to hang up his pint glass. Andy is a real Georide who loved the club so much he had to leave. He's loves the club as much as Paperback loves a single sentence paragraph. Even so, if he can contribute to two or three wins, that will keep us up which will more than make up for his wages. That plus it keeps the St James park faithful deliriously happy with Big Mike's leadership and you have a great deal. For Big Mike and Local Bruce Almighty.
