Confirmed: Sunderland sack Gus Poyet and hold talks to bring in Dick Advocaat

eh? Is he god or bad? Never been too sure, seems to have managed everyone

I don't know much about Advocaat but I'm certain he's a much better manager than John f***ing Carver.

Looks like derby defeat number 5 is on the way.

Must be knocking on a bit, Advocaat.

Don't think this was a knee-jerk decision, they've been on a very poor run of form recently and I'm sure that they've been talking to potential managers during it.

It's absolutely unbelievable how they always, fucking always appoint a new manager just before our games- it's like they get a new manager just to make sure for the derby game  But new manager or not, it's incredibly sad to think that we've pretty much conceded defeat before we even play them- we should have the easiest derby in the country....they're fucking horrendous, playing with two CB's who are absolutely finished in the top flight yet we'll most likely drop Perez. Deeply, deeply depressing and I can't really handle these matches anymore.

He's brought in some absolute crap though. Scocco, Buckley, Coates and Bridcutt spring to mind but Alvarez(no doubt a good player in another league) and Vergini have been pretty poor too

Honestly thought Poyet was a decent manager. If you look at Sunderland's team, it's complete s*** from defense to attack. He had them playing pretty well. Bad decision from them. They'll be relegated now.

You've clearly not seen them play

This is true. Recruitment has been awful. When you sign Championship players, you become a Championship team. However, the times I've watched them they've looked alright as far as playing football. Their style of football is a hell of a lot more attractive than the shit we play tbh.
