Noodles
Very good chance they'll appoint a much more competent manager than we ever will. Already talk of Eddie Howe.

summerof69
Big Sam at the end of the season ?
Ketsbaia
As experienced as Advocaat is, he's never had a PL relegation battle. They're hanging their hats on a derby win, basically, but they've sacked the man who knows how to do it.
mrmojorisin75
Big Sam at the end of the season ? This makes the most sense to me if west ham are letting that bell end leave
Guest Roger Kint
Just seen this(not sure its true) Poyet 76 games at sunderland 23W 22D 31L Pardews last 76 games 28W 11D 36L Almost as terrible as each other really
Astroblack
Honestly thought Poyet was a decent manager. If you look at Sunderland's team, it's complete shit from defense to attack. He had them playing pretty well. Bad decision from them. They'll be relegated now.
joeyt
He's brought in some absolute crap though. Scocco, Buckley, Coates and Bridcutt spring to mind but Alvarez(no doubt a good player in another league) and Vergini have been pretty poor too
Klaus
Surprised they did this before the Derby tbh, Gus managed to win the last 3 with ease, despite them being dog shit all season long.
mosstef
Ha! Don't they know that there's no decent managers available at the moment.

joeyt
Honestly thought Poyet was a decent manager. If you look at Sunderland's team, it's complete s*** from defense to attack. He had them playing pretty well. Bad decision from them. They'll be relegated now. You've clearly not seen them play
Stifler
Derby loss for us again then.

Scocco, Buckley, Coates and Bridcutt spring to mind but Alvarez(no doubt a good player in another league) and Vergini have been pretty poor too This is true. Recruitment has been awful. When you sign Championship players, you become a Championship team. However, the times I've watched them they've looked alright as far as playing football. Their style of football is a hell of a lot more attractive than the shit we play tbh.
The College Dropout
They'll stay up and beat us. I don't care about anything else.

Robster
Fuck me. Seeing Sunderland struggle as well was the one ray of sunshine in following football these days. Now they've ruined that by daring to try to improve. Everything is totally shit forever.
taxfree
Derby loss for us again then. They would have beaten us with Poyet anyway.
taxfree
Weird time to sack him though, as they'll have to wait for the summer to sign a new one.
Peppe
ffs It's probably in every managers contract over there: "Oh, and you'll get sacked before our home game against the Mags because we want the new-manager-bounce." They don't need no bounce to beat us though.

NG32
f*** me. Seeing Sunderland struggle as well was the one ray of sunshine in following football these days. their relegation is the only thing we can win. That sounds like a tag line for a bad movie. Something like a Steven Seagull movie "Hard To Win" "Their relegation is the only thing we can win"
midds
Wasn't Poyet one of the names in the frame when Pardew was under pressure a while back? Now out of contract and available to start pretty much immediately?
