Their two red cards against Hull City last weekend marked only the eighth occasion that a team has been reduced to nine men in the first-half of a Premier League game. Sunderland are the only team that this has happened to on two separate occasions.

History didn't begin in 1992 ffs, state-broadcasting magedia...

Manchester City have scored more goals (28) than Sunderland (24) have had shots on target this season.

Ouch.

Just seen that they only had 15K gate against Southampton on Wednesday night, that's about 33,000 empty seats - is it a record for a game between two PL sides ?

I know they regularly come top of the PL empty seats table so maybe they now have the individual game record too.
