Reminds me of Principal Skinner saying: 'All students please proceed immediately to an assembly in the ButtheadMemorial Auditorium.  [to himself] Dammit, I wish we hadn't let the students name that one.'

If you really like table tennis would they let you attend all 6 weeks and then tell them to stick their tickets up their arse? Seems really unfair to punish them for attending all the sessions.

Crying like bitches on FB about derby tickets costing £47. 'Robbing mag twats' apparently, strange seeing how one of the few good things we do is try and get away deals down. If its high then surely its due to sunderland refusing to play ball not us taking the piss?

They're also allowing season ticket holders to buy extra seats for their next home game (v Chelsea) for £10. Add this to all the freebies they hand out to schools and the university and it's not hard to see why they generate the lowest £ per seat in the league by a long way. When you look on their forum it's all back slapping each other about their 40k crowds but in reality if they set their admission costs to the same level as the other middle of the road PL clubs they'd be pulling in 25k most weeks.

Can't believe how obsessed some people on here are about their free tickets offers like. So what man? It's good to see clubs trying to make things more accessible, especially when you consider the impact the economy has had on our region. When you consider the shit both fans have put up with the current attendances are fantastic.

I mean it's not like our owner has massively increased our own family enclosure to try and get more people into the ground to replace those that aren't coming back any more is it?

More and more people are becoming like the people on RTG that we used to laugh at. Even then people were obsessed with their obsession.

Agree to an extent but they shouldn't be boasting about their crowds as much when so many people are getting in for nowt or next to nowt. Any club could do that and see a massive increase in gates. Let's face it they wouldn't put on all these ticket offers if they didn't have to.

Premier passions:

Common ground

A pre-arranged meeting between Newcastle and Sunderland followers at a neutral location on Wednesday night resulted in no arrests or injuries, with only an outbreak of common sense to report.

No bus convoys or special metros were scheduled and the police helicopter was conspicuous by its absence, as fan groups from NUFC and SAFC gathered in Gateshead to discuss the upcoming derby match on December 21st.

Having inadvertently united both sides of the Tyne/Wear divide by advocating a so-called "bubble match" last January, Northumbria Police presided over this joint meeting of two groups who previously met separately.

Both groups were established in 2014 following an invitation from the police to interested parties, with informal gatherings taking place where both sides can communicate directly on whatever matters arise.

So far this has included discussion on derby match policing policy, the issue of peaceful protest by fan groups inside and outside SJP, concerns over pyro devices and ongoing dialogue regarding away travel.

Wednesday's meeting saw unanimous agreement to work together under the slogan of "a Derby to be proud of", highlighting positive aspects of the rivalry and building on the thawing in relationships following the MH17 tragedy.

There's an open invitation to anyone wishing to attend future fan group/police meetings, with supporters aged between 16 and 25 particularly under-represented.

Meetings take place quarterly on weekday evenings at a location in Newcastle. Email here to get involved.

(For the avoidance of doubt, these meetings aren't related to Newcastle United's fans forum initiative).

We,had the same conversation last year iirc. Pretty sure the reciprocal deal is 'on the table' for all 19 other clubs, but they like to charge us full whack for the return so have refused it. Sure I paid £42 for the game there last season.

Not being funny but given that your transport is included for free (if you want it) the derby is still the cheapest away day of the season for most, as well as the most sought after. Seems like some people will just find anything they can to moan about.

And that goes for both sets of fans btw.

Yeah they complained cos we charged £1 more last season iirc

Like you say its their own fault and as matches go pretty cheap in reality for an away game. Soton would have been near £40 given they charged us £37 last season(we did a deal this year) and Leicester are charging them £35 in a few weeks.
