BBC are just reporting what the Chronicle are saying about what L'equipe are saying

Newcastle United have approached Christophe Galtier to take over as new manager - according to reports in France.

The St Etienne boss has guided his team to fourth place this term and is regarded as one of the best up and coming managers in Ligue 1.

A report in L’Equipe say that United officials have approached the club in the aftermath of Newcastle’s bad form of late.

Newcastle would have to fire Pardew and pay him six years worth of compensation, as well cough up for any backroom requirements of Galtier’s team.

The 47-year-old has has managerial stints at Marseille and Aris Thessaloniki previously.

Newcastle have not commented on talk of Galtier so far and Pardew will hold his pre-game Press conference today

Great, a player unsuited to 4-4-2 as a CM, no doubt that'll be Pardew's plan on how to use him. Funny how we seem to buy players suited to 4-3-3 style formations and then Pardew refuses to use it.

He'll play in the hole off the big man if we buy him. 4-4-1-1.

Too flaky to hold the full backs hand in midfield.

At least he'd have all of the attacking & creative responsibility on his shoulders.

Bound to work well for a young lad in his first season in English football

This lad is much more lightweight than Cabaye, i just dread what Pardew will do with him, well to him tbh.
