Gnabry's a winger/midfielder isn't he?

Massive lols on still being interested in Jenkinson.

Yup he is.

I'm totally against giving arsenals reserves first team football and handing them back as well.

It says it all that Pardews targets are the likes of Jenkinson and carr wants the like of Janmaat and Aurier.

English grit and tackle...

English garbage.

Expensive to dispose of.

Actually i think Jenkinson is alright but Janmaat or Aurier are better players. I'm glad it's still Carr who is listened to, still begs the question why no one within the club is questioning Pardew's mismanagement of the players.

I used to be solely in the let the manager buy his own players and then live and die by them, until we got this prick as manager, which changed my mind in an instant.

Bimps Jenkinson would have been a huge downgrade on Debuchy.

He's the sort of fullback I'd expect to see playing for relegation fodder tbh.

I know he's nowhere near Debuchy, it's just me having watched him a fair bit think he's not as bad as some say. He's got potential to be quite a good player. It won't be the first or last time i'm wrong about a player tbh

He's lacking with the ball at his feet for me especially in the modern game where fullbacks are providing the width.

Whereas i think he's ok with the ball, matter of opinions i guess.

If they are listening to Carr over Pardew then surely they are admitting that the manager they have isn't working with the same philosophies as the club, in which case why is he still manager?

It's mind boggling, because we know he's shit, the club knows he's shit, we know the club knows he's shit, and the club knows we know he's shit, and surely even Pardew isn't deluded enough to not see that he's shit.

Absolutely spot on, it makes no sense at all. And makes the Ashley has him as he is cheap and follows Ashley's orders to the letter as believable as ever.

That and he's on an 8 year contract. Ashley knows he's shit, but as long as we stay up and he spouts the official club propaganda he doesn't really care.

Spot on basically, he's doing the keeping up on relatively small wage for a Premiership manager and licks his arse. What's not to like for Ashley.

Opinions on players is part of my love of football. Wouldn't it be boring if everyone thought the same about every player.

Pardew thread is a good example of this to be honest.

Jenkinson is no better than Simpson, if he played for Stoke no one would touch him.

He's exactly the same. Equally as spineless and just as terrified of the ball. He's got his footballers haircut though so he's "made it".

With Drogba rejoining Chelsea, you'd think the smart thing to do would be to spring for Lukaku. Someone is going to get him, might as well be us.

You'd hope so, but I think our business is done.

Still 2-3 players short of where we need to be.

Pretty much how I view it as well.

Can't see us trying for Lukaku given the price and how much we'd have to sell him for turn a profit.

Well smart money is of course on Everton. But West Brom were confident they were getting him back, then he picked Everton. Difference is, we aren't an upgrade like Everton were last year.. No reason why we couldn't try to convince him we are just as attractive an option. He also might want another challenge.

One problem..

An £8.7m/€11m bid for Aubameyang has gone in from us about an hour ago.

How has he done at Dortmund? - can't see us getting him

He's seen as impact player to bring on and use his pace against tired defenced.

He's done well when I have seen him, would love it if we signed him but yet to see any evidence to suggest that is going to happen.

8.7m  :troll: :yao:

In all honesty though if we got him and Grenier and replaced mapou if he leaves... Might even feel a spark in that empty black and white soul of mine... Right before pardew screws it and gets us relegated.
