The clubs media partner is saying we dont need a new striker as Armstrong is ready to come in. Made last nights game sound like a hell of a showing mind.......

Would they not like this:

Connor Wickham could follow Jack Colback to Newcastle United for cut-price £6m with Sunderland yet to offer striker new contract despite 'sign or go' ultimatum from Gus Poyet (Daily Mail)

He's only got a year left, right?  Not sure about him, he seemed to have a fair bit of potential but hasn't had much of a chance to show it in the PL yet.  Offer them £3m and just see how we get on with what we've got til January if they knock it back.

The Uruguayan said: 'For me, Connor’s situation is clear. He needs to sign a new contract or we let him go – we sell him. There is nothing in between.'

The 21-year-old has one year to run on his current deal and has not been offered a new contract

We would have 5 strikers with immense potential in Armstrong, Ferreyra, Riviere, Perez and Wickham. But none of them would score more than 15 goals in a season.

None of them would score more than 10 really. Riviere I can see scoring around 12 with a run of games.
