Leazes_End_Mag
Shelvey, Remy (on loan) and Berahino would be terrific business. Unfortunately I reckon we will sign Saivet and the club will bang on about how he can cover numerous positions.
Chris_R
Play wingers as CMs and play CMs on the wing. What could possibly go wrong? Fucking idiots.
Wallace
So we want to buy a player that needs to adapt to the Premier League immediately to help us stay up so we plan to play him out of position. Mmm.

TRon
Saivet, Shelvey and a striker and we might manage to stay up. Still major concerns about the defence like but we might control games better, create and score more at least with those three. If we even get two out of those three I'll be amazed. It feels like the club has given up and we are just hoping something will change somehow.

TRon
If he's a central midfielder then it will be either him or Shelvey not both.

I doubt anyone of us know how good/bad Saivet is and we don't even know who the striker is! Too early to say what will or won't keep us up.
Colos Short and Curlies
Ryder saying hes a winger who can play centre mid is a bit like calling a transgender a man who can also perform as a woman.

Joe_F
Shelvey had a bust up with some of the Swansea fans at the end of the game apparently http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-fc-target-jonjo-10712232

U2
Shelvey looked a class above our midfielders in the few minutes I watched today. Composed on the ball, always looking to play forward and had a strong range of passing. Also drove forward and attacked the space in between the defence and midfield when it was on. Sign him up. Wouldn't be surprised to see Honest Alan in for him despite the denials.

toontownman
Saviet will be the shelvey fallback. Remy will be plan be if we don't get a permenant deal for an overhyped but ultimate flop forward. By the time we realize plan a b and c won't happen Remy will likely be at another club. Can't really afford to go foreign this window imo. We need proven and tested in this league.
Bimpy474
Was it bimpy who suggested Nzonzi? Would be a good option imho I did, he doesn't seem to be in their team at the moment. He'd be perfect for us, box to box, tackles, scores a few, Premier League ready. We'll value him at £5m, they'll want £6m, and someone else will buy him for £7m. Ah Portsmouth, Leeds etc

No chance they'll have even considered it though Never knew that
