I think he’ll be there for another year he doesn’t leave until he’s completed a job. The salary cap changes don’t effect their star players until their contracts are up anyway just means he can’t sign a mega star. He’ll be pleased with some of the rule changes though means he can play and sign an extra foreign player. I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes for Fede Fernández. Not all managers that have worked with elite clubs/players can adapt and overachiever with lower level clubs/players Villarreal and Malaga being absolute powerhouses before and after his arrival of course.
