I think they didn't have natural goalscorers, I remember that being mentioned before our ties as well. They played really effectively against us, and they must have done something right to get to the CL final.

Tiresias
5 hours ago, Froggy said: The Sancho situation is essentially this: He was given three months off to go and get his head right and put on a specialised training program for his fitness after Ten Hag expressed concern over the way he was acting and training. He came back and when he was brought on as a sub and you could see Ten Hag essentially congratulating him and telling him to go and enjoy himself. It was all smiles, all positive body language. Fast forward a few months and he's late to training again, sleeping in and staying up playing the playstation all night. His committment levels dropped as did his fitness, which was really poor after what the club had done for him. Ten Hag was asked about why he was dropped in a post match interview after a defeat against Arsenal, and told the truth that he wasn't fit enough to be in the squad. I won't argue with anyone who believes this was the wrong approach, but it was the truth and the club had protected him enough at this point. Sancho obviously took issue with being publicly called out and went straight on to social media to have a little moan and claim he's being made to be a scapegoat. The worst thing of all, is that all Ten Hag has asked for is an apology, and he'd be straight back into the team. Sancho has refused. Ten Hag won't budge. Ten Hag in my opinion is 100% right not to give in to player power. If Rashford hadn't apologised after the Belfast fiasco then he'd be out on loan or rotting in the reserves as well. I know I give Rashford a lot of stick as well, but three times he's dropped by Ten Hag for various reasons like being late or going out in bars when he shouldn't have. He's apologised each time, and they've moved on and he's been straight back into the team. It's a simple case of the manager demanding respect. Sancho doesn't have any respect. It was the same at Dortmund as well, but he was performing to an extremely high level (that he isn't capable of at Premier League level IMO) so it wasn't as publicised. He was fined and made to train with the youth multiple times in Germany though. He's a waste of space. Fair enough. I agree with all that, I do think making it a bit public maybe didn't help. I think i have got the impression from the man management from all the constant stories but thinking it over may just be the mad media around the club blowing everything out of proportion. I retract my argument

As a BVB fan I absolutely love Terzic and at the same time I’m really happy he stepped down. Dortmund lacked general idea the whole season and only turned on during UCL games. There was lot of senior players that did not like his approach (or lack of it), but he was still well-respected in the club because he is great person and long-term fan of the club. However Hummels refused to negotiate extension if Terzic had stayed. He’s been good as assistant coach and did brilliantly at the club as a manager but still lacked the depth to develop the play further. Local hero that gave the club all he can but now it’s time to get more tactical approach on the game. The fact that he stepped down knowing it’s the right decision to benefit the club makes him even more hero. Nuri Sahin has been praised as assistant coach and probably will be the next BVB manager. GideonShandy
Pretty wild stuff at Dortmund. Terzic quits because of a "physical confrontation" with Mats Hummels. A few hours later, the club releases Hummels on a free.

Guest
I hope they get back to at least being a mid-table team. How Leicester get on will be a good indicator of how big the gap really is between the two leagues these days.
