The weirdest thing is that they've spunked all that money in the last 18 months or so on players that are generally very un-Pep like, but now look like they're going to appoint perhaps the biggest Pep philosophy disciple/wannabe from everyone that's ever worked with him. They'll just have to spend another few hundred million quid over the next few transfer windows. Easy. Edited May 18 by Kilcline

Sidg
Maresca replacing Pep reminds me of Moyes replacing Fergie in that there's a "he's close enough" surface-level logic to it. Hopefully this fucks City up for years and years to come.

andycap
Luis Enrique surely has to be in the elite list of managers nowadays.

Dokko
Think he'll take a break. Might even try to reconcile with his wife. Hope that's the case. Be nice for him to put his family 1st after all these years of playing 2nd fiddle to football. Would also mean he gets his money back. Not daft that lad. 😂

Not daft that lad. 😂 He went to live in New York for a year when he left Barca, imagine having the ability to do that and be young and fit enough to enjoy it, maybe he'll do that before replacing England bound Eddie Howe next summer. He's done, Spain, Germany and England, I imagine his next stop will be either Italy or France, depending on whether the top club job in either league is available at some point.
