No idea how Maresca's landed the gig, like. Have they just named the first bald freak they can think of to replace Pep?

The weirdest thing is that they've spunked all that money in the last 18 months or so on players that are generally very un-Pep like, but now look like they're going to appoint perhaps the biggest Pep philosophy disciple/wannabe from everyone that's ever worked with him.

They'll just have to spend another few hundred million quid over the next few transfer windows. Easy.

Would be weak to leave the PL finishing 2nd and 3rd the previous seasons.

Nah he's been there a long time and won it all, time for a change for him and the club.

Maresca replacing Pep reminds me of Moyes replacing Fergie in that there's a "he's close enough" surface-level logic to it. Hopefully this fucks City up for years and years to come.

Think he'll take a break. Might even try to reconcile with his wife. Hope that's the case. Be nice for him to put his family 1st after all these years of playing 2nd fiddle to football. Would also mean he gets his money back. Not daft that lad. 😂

He went to live in New York for a year when he left Barca, imagine having the ability to do that and be young and fit enough to enjoy it, maybe he'll do that before replacing England bound Eddie Howe next summer.

Wonder where Pep will end up

Somewhere that he can spend and buy success again I'd guess, he's never managed a struggling club to success has he? He's done, Spain, Germany and England, I imagine his next stop will be either Italy or France, depending on whether the top club job in either league is available at some point.
