FFP is a joke like. What chance do clubs like Wolves have of being an established PL club unless they spend?

They’ve spent loads, FFP is there to try and stop clubs betting the house and going bust if they get it wrong. It’s perhaps easier to think of FFP as a limit on what you can lose over what you can spend.

It really isn’t, that’s what it was sold as though.

it’s job is to protect the establishment. Especially in this age of VC investing where funds burn billions for quick growth clubs like us are being prohibited from doing so.

If they wanted to protect clubs from going bust then they could have much more robust rules without stopping investment.

Wolves fucked it because of their ridiculous transfer model and that fucking parasite Mendes.

Was never going to be sustainable given the size of the club in the context of post-City FFP.

Nice of the Premier League to protect Wolves from overspending so that they don't suffer back to back relegations or anything like that.

Latest on our boards saying Russel Martin is signing a 3 year deal with Southampton today.

Lots of celebrations ongoing with Swans fans, no-one can see what he's achieved to deserve it but most are quite happy. Lets see if its true :)

Already some speculation regarding next manager, some putting 2 and 2 together to get 19, seeing as our glorious owners are also part owners of DC United, or should I say Wayne Rooney's DC United, they think we'll become Wayne Rooney's Swansea City. Wouldn't be that bad thinking of it, he did well considering the circumstances at Derby.

We'll see, never a dull moment being a football fan (unless your watching a game where Martin is one of the managers ).

He did well at the end of the season, just the 20 odd games in the middle.

Always looked like you dominated possession without turning it into results until the end of the season when you started getting good results

Reckon he'll try and take Piroe to Southampton? Or do you think you can keep ahold of him?

Piroe's only got 1 year left on his contract, doubt we could pay enough to extend it so we expect him to leave this summer. He's been a great signing though, 20+ goals each season.

If Rodgers goes there it’s probably just about the right move for both sides, with them accepting that they’re just not going to be a contender anymore but they’ll be able to rack up some nice 7th-10th finishes

For a few years anyway, before the players get sick of Rodgers. Maybe even sooner than his usual cycle if Levy decides they need to cut back on investment in the playing side.

I think they (Levy, fans) are still in hope and panic of bouncing back in or clinging on to the "6" so nobody is going to get time for at least another season.

Need a good  old midtable finish before a Rodger's or someone could survive producing a standard Spurs season.
