The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Van Nistelrooy to Leicester | Lampard to Coventry

Recommended Posts

His Swansea sacking was ridiculous tbf and Leeds fans seem to hold him in high regard. At least, they did before the end of the season.

Think he's a horrible slimy creep personally but would probably be a decent appointment by mackem standards. Would definitely prefer to see them going for shitjock v7 from Aberdeen.

haha, aye and all other team fans think Newcastle fans were mad for wanting to sack Pardew.

Here's the response by Swansea fans when asked an opinion on Monk.

I've always thought he was a Pardew clone. A lot of those comments seem to confirm it.

I do think Monk is over rated like. Absolutely bottled the run-in, he had one of the best strikers and best centre backs in the league, Pablo fucking Hernandez, and much better teams than at least Huddersfield & Reading imo, and cocked it up.

Silva in talks with Watford.

So many better options for him. Weird.

Exactly. See you on the shopping list in a year then, I guess.

Would have loved to have seen him at Leicester.

Guest Howaythetoon

Monk has done a good job at both his clubs given his age and inexperience. He'd be a good fit at say boro.

Fair enough. From the outside it seemed a harsh decision at the the time like, as it seemed with Guidolin (?)

Guidolin I can agree with, most fans were shocked, we lost too many games, the vast majority against teams we would be expected to lose against and other seasons had taken points from. This year we lost them all and it gave the new board the excuse to bring their man in.

Although we were losing, we never looked outclassed, we lost by the odd goal in close games, we looked like we could pull out when we had a run against like sized teams. But they sacked Guidolin before they started and then we suddenly looked shocking under Bradley, not only losing but shipping goals for fun, had Guidolin stayed I'm sure we would have pulled to mid table by Christmas.

Thank god they saw their mistake and changed to Clement, after Christmas we all thought we were doomed.

Heard the other day that Porto are looking to raise €140m this summer with player sales obviously contributing to most of that. Probably one of a the main things that put him off.

Watford is a strange choice though, thought he might give it another week or two and see if Puel left Southampton.
