I will raise my hand as one of many on here who were envious of Leicester during the Ashley years. Crazy how I now feel sorry for them. [emoji38]

Dean. Smith.

Same. This season we've done them 0-3 at their place which they've done at SJP a couple times, and we could potentially be in a scenario in our last home game to beat them to make top 4 which they've been challenging for last few years and relegate them.

Leicester bottled it

Dean Smith man ... down they go.

Come on, man. He’s about as good as they can get in their situation. They’re relegation-threatened side offering an interim role.

They would routinely play us off the park and that's what stung the most. Knowing if Ashley invested properly (or gave a fuck) in us, we could have been as good as Leicester. The 3-0 was an absolute cake walk and felt good from an redemption arc standpoint.  Thumping them at home will complete the revenge circle for me and I'll wish them all the luck in the Champo as they've been a great watch prior to this season.

Only said that because it looked like they were talking to Rafa. Maybe it wasn't true though.

The Tieleman's rumours have resurfaced again recently.

On a free I think it's a very strong signing. Very similar to Bruno too in that he can play in both the 6 and 8 positions, and if Bruno is ever out we'd not lack creativity to the extent we do currently. Was also quite surprised at how decent his defensive numbers are.

Fresh start with us and I think he'd be back to his best. We could benefit from Leicester's poor season wish has seemingly turned off some suitors for him apparently.

Do you not worry about Tielemans athleticism especially if he’s asked to play the 6 role?

Id sign him personally to complete the set of the Anderlecht 3 after Mitro and Mbemba from when I worked over there a bit.

Be an absolute no brainer to sign him imo, would be a fantastic option for us.

They’re hardly going to get a good manager in in their predicament imo, especially in an interim capacity. I suppose it does smack of “quick we need a relegation specialist in to save us”; ignoring the fact that “relegation specialists” tend to just be poor managers .

Wow. Was only just catching up in the Rafa thread and come in here to find out its old news. What a fucking mess.

What the downfall has Leicester has finally drilled in to me is that it's all well and good being one of the envied 'well run' teams but my God how easy is it to fall apart.

I think it would work. Mostly because of how well Howe managed to make it work when Shelvey played there with Joelinton and Bruno at the 8 positions.

Have to think the tragedy of Vichai played a huge part in this. Massive assumption, but he always felt more invested than his son in running the football club.

I think the son is personally invested but now that his father has gone, other family members within the King Power ownership structure want money to be spent on other investments (or to themselves maybe?) rather than in Leicester.

Interesting thought process, didn’t think of it that way

I know Tielemans isn’t as athletically limited as Shelvey but I found him very defensively suspect. The spurs game really showed his limitations there and I’d worry about Tielemans there personally.

I know if we want to strengthen well, we will have to go after free agents most likely so I’m not totally against the move but would prefer him playing as an 8.

I'm not sure where this idea has come from where the owners buy players and it doesn't really matter who the coach is cos it's easy to sack them and bring a new body in, is it a Baseball thing ?

Possibly, but there has to be some question of them tailing off post tragedy. Was a passion for the father, imagine not so much everyone else.
