That's a strange statistic to use considering there were no games played in December and only 2 in November.

They've played 6 since World Cup, lost 3 and drawn 3. They've only just in the last couple of weeks made new signings who presumably were ones who would fit into the managers system (particularly Weston Mckennie).

So to me it seems strange they've not given him the opportunity with a fresh sqaud and not actually being in the bottom 3 to get them to the end of the season at least.

No games played in December ???

They've won 2 league games since August

Lasted longer than Bob Bradley. So at least there is improvement from the American coaches! I have never seen the hype with Marsch and there has been a ton of it dating back to his MLS coaching days, but he certainly had Leeds well drilled against us. Can see him replacing Berhalter pretty soon.

Not sure who Leeds turn to. The promise of a Lampard/Gerrard/Bruce appointment is so appealing to everyone outside or could see a Hodgson/Allardyce interim. Seems like the type of Madness Rafa might be into.

Would be a smart hire for where they are at. Whether they get past the congersation stage we shall see. He might be happy where he is.

Their last win was against Bournemouth, since then 7 games without a win and the record prior wasn't great either

Exactly this. they haven’t improved in the slightest since Bielsa left.

Don't know what more they could realistically expect from him or anybody than to be in a fighting chance of suriving a relegation battle.

I quite liked him, in 'fine for them but dear god I'd hate it if he managed us' sort of way.

Think primarily its about counter-acting the feared momentum of new managers elsewhere down there.

Gerrard at Villa: P38, W12 = 31.6%

Bruce at NUFC: P84, W23 = 27.4%

Marsch at Leeds : P32, W8 = 25%

Lampard at Everton: P38, W9 = 23.7%

He's bang in that PFM sweet spot in terms of results.

Marsch deserves a lot of credit for taking over from Bielsa last season and keeping them up. While results don’t always tell the whole truth (11th in goals scored, 6 teams with a worse GD), fact is they’re 17th and winless since November. Results take priority over style in the PL for relegation battlers.

Mystifying that he/they spent all that money (on some good players!) but didn’t see fit to replace the likes of Struijk, Cooper, and Ayling, none of whom should be starting in the PL.

I do think he’s a smart guy and a good manager. With the system he wants to install, he’d benefit from an opportunity to build something from the ground up, without the threat of relegation (Leeds) or pressure to compete for Europe and silverware (Leipzig). A reclamation project in a less demanding league.

While it’s obviously not just a coincidence that three American players ended up at Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United, Adams and McKennie would also make the starting XI for plenty of PL clubs. Aaronson is probably best as an “off-the-bench” option in this league at this point in his career, but he’s a talented player too.

Aaronson is probably one of their most frustrating players imo. Looks good on the ball for a bit then fails pretty much every key pass or shot on goal. Still young I suppose. Thought Gnonto, Summerville and Sinistera were more effective.

Definitely a big jump from Austrian Bundesliga to PL (for managers too, clearly  )
