Wonder if they're trying to steal Alonso at the 11th hour?

Not sure if this is true but I’m hearing they‘re discussing whether to chop Isak’s knee cap off and selling it on eBay to try and recoup some of the £120m

Need to quickly think of a way to victimise themselves in this Xabi scenario.

Iraola is the one - he'll be an elite manager one day

Him going to Palace would be a proper strange one for me. He could go anywhere

But but he's finished as a top manager nowadays. 😂

He's perfect for RM - they don't need a tactician they need a baby sitter

Big worry now mind if he gets them sorted out he will make it even tougher to get into the champions league spots.

Alonso I mean.

Perfect strorm. He's the biggest drama queen going. I like Jose more than most, but that's not why he's there. He WILL fall out with a load of players. Unless that's what they want to happen

The point I'm making is they are in trouble with Barcelona winning the league again and being the dominant team.

And they go and get mourinho to sort them out.

But lots of this forum wouldn't have him for love nor money.

Some odd managerial moves all round IF this all happens, you have to wonder what various people/clubs are thinking.

Real - why hire a manager who has a pretty poor recent record of winning trophies, managing big personalities and high pressure situations when you need them to do all three?

Alonso - why go to a club you have no connection to and who have a record of chewing out managers when you have just experienced that and have a reputation to maintain/rebuild?

Irola - why make such a sideways step (or even a backwards step) when you seem posied to make the step up?

The fact that he seems to be going to Palace suggests otherwise.

Bilbao, Chelsea, Man Utd, Real Madrid, Benfica, all big clubs that don't seem to have even made an approach.

Strange that so many on here said he was nailed on for Liverpool next.

Strange that you would think this was an odd assumption to make

He's got some limitations to his game.

He's done an excellent job at Bournemouth though, no doubt.

That's true, I suppose it's a question of which is more likely - that none of those clubs made a serious approach, or that one or more of them did but he still decided to go to Crystal Palace (if that's what ends up happening)

His teams are super high energy and tend to burn out, similar to us in the 22/23 and 23/24 seasons. As a result, they're also incredibly streaky.

I think if his side qualified for Europe he'd have to learn the hard way, just like Howe has and go through a similar evolution.
