Seemed like they were done in by the conditions and Nigerian running towards the end - most of them aside from the middle 2 (who were both class) looked absolutely fucked. Would've set it up perfectly for the last games too, as it is it's hard not too imagine Nigeria going through even though I could easily see them getting a 2/3 goal defeat. For a little while it was looking like Cote D'ivore would be the only African country to leave the World Cup with some respectable performances but both Ghana & Nigeria showed up last night. Good work. It would be incredible for our football if 2 or 3 of the nations can make it to the knockout round. The continent generally has always shown its potential at these tournaments, but it has always been one at a time carrying the flag. Expected much more from them. They had a perfectly good goal disallowed so yeah. Expected more but sometimes it's not to be, them being at the finals was an achievement in itself.
