Regardless of points and victories and all, if we continue to try and shut up shop like we did in the second half, it will come back to bite us.

For that, he gets no praise. It's cowardice and West Ham were there for the taking. There shouldn't have been a game with 10 minutes to go.

It wasn't a great second half, but we did go for the throat in the first half to be fair. It's not like we went one up and sat back. Even at two nil we could have had a couple more. Only thing that pissed me off was seeing shola come on ahead of hba.

Which is why we should have kicked on and tried to get a third early in the second half - we showed in the first half that they were there for the taking. But no, we put on another Pardew second halfer and were a couple of sitters away from throwing the game - thank god they're shit.

He wanted someone to counter Carroll at set pieces. Sad as that is.

Yeap, from his BBC interview it seemed to be for this.

I'd say the goal before half time changed things a lot. We certainly should have pushed more but they were always going to come out with their tails up. It was a good result and a good afternoon.

I'm not sure what he's expecting from Shola. His contribution is minimal, I'd sooner have Cisse on as much use as he is right now.

Agree. Shola is a 32 year old striker who was only hit double figures in maybe 1 or 2 seasons? Fucking dreadful.

I'm sure he's only done it once in the league and that was in the Championship.

And didn't he get that in the first few weeks of the championship season? Then got hurt of course...

Don't even know why people. Let it bother them anymore.

He really moved it up a gear for me today with Shola on for Anita.

Ah I just meant the transfer talk.

 aye I  thought you meant his shittness in general. It is reasonable to think a tolerance would have been built up by now, but he keeps finding new and innovative ways of pissing people off.

Shola is a product of just how fucking piss poor a club we now are. He gets games because our manager is an idiot and our club lacks ambition.

Tbh in the league he's doing an ok job this season, I don't think we're over-achieving considering our squad mind and he finds every little way to try and self sabotage and annoy me.

Our performance in teh cups however is nothing short of a disgrace, didn't even get any good experience for our young players! (what has happened to Bigirimana, and why isn't he loaned out if he's so far from the first team)

Keegan was perhaps our greatest manager, yet when it came to away form he managed 7 wins out of 19 games, 6 wins out of 21, and 9 wins out of 21 in the three seasons he managed us in the Premier League.

To get 6 away wins out of 11 with a squad that, player for player, clearly isn't a match for 6 other sides in the division, is absolutely fantastic.

Is Pardew the most tactically astute manager we have ever had?
