toontownman
Sorry if Giggs, we can but dream... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/next-west-ham-manager-alan-3036835 EVERYONE! Stop everything and pray, pray like never before. Actually our best bet is Hodgson and England having a mare this year and the FA doing what they do best in fucking things up and sacking Hodgson and hiring pardew. No other attractive job is likely to materialize that will be stupid enough to want him and pardew actually be interested in giving up the cushy job he already has. alexthegreat
Regardless of points and victories and all, if we continue to try and shut up shop like we did in the second half, it will come back to bite us. For that, he gets no praise. It's cowardice and West Ham were there for the taking. There shouldn't have been a game with 10 minutes to go. It has already, plenty of times. Southampton, Hull, and Liverpool (with 10 men) = "plenty of times" We haven't dropped points from a winning position once away from home this season, and have recorded 6 victories. It's an excellent record that fully vindicates his tactics.

LRD
Has to be a WUM comparing Pardew with Keegan. Or painfully thick. Does anyone need to be reminded of the way he has completely outmanoevered Moyes, Hiddink, and Mourinho in the last few months? How many times has Poyet outwitted him these years? Poyet "completely outmaneuvered" Manuel Pellegrini the other week too, and Jose. So he can add that to his coveted Pardew scalp. Bloke must be a f***ing wizard. And he genuinely thinks Pardew is a tactical genius.
merlin
Pardew/Keegan debate Is this a wind-up..!?? Never thought I'd see the day, but it shows how short fans' memories are and how successful the club have been at dumbing down expectations..

mrmojorisin75
what the fuck will this clown do when he doesn't have shola to throw on to try and lose a game? probably switch willo to striker in the second half of games crazy that all the people lauding his away record, as good as it is, can't see that it'll come full circle - teams won't consistently miss sitters against you every season...when they start to score them we'll be fucked again, it's more or less how we went from 5th to nearly being relegated
SteveMc
I think he's done a good job this season overall. I'm no Pardew lover, and I think the 2nd half today was a classic example of Pardew shitting himself, but you can't argue with the points total. He's had luck yes, but he's also had some against him as well, last week being a recent example. He's not the man long term, but we won't do much in the foreseeable future with this c*** of an owner. We're f***ed until Ashley goes, our limit will always be outside of the top 4 with the current strategy. Sad, but true. Jose?

Both teams missed chances.

I've noticed people reporting more and more often that we can't 'perform' for more than 90 minutes these days too, eventually the penny will drop. SLK
some people nothing pleases them. Do you prefer we are managed by Big Sam, Tony Pulise or Mark Hughes ?
Troll
some people nothing pleases them. Do you prefer we are managed by Big Sam, Tony Pulise or Mark Hughes ? We should be happy to settle because there are worse managers out there? Give every manager in the premier league the same squad, and at least half of them would do comfortably better than Pardew. Ste
Just because things could be worse, doesn't mean you shouldn't still strive for better. Irrelevant I suppose as I really believe Pardew would be allowed to take us down and have time in the Championship to rectify his error if it did happen. mrmojorisin75
suppose if we have hope on the pardew front it may that ashley has decided to aim for younger players (not always of course) with potential to improve on the pitch and of course financially, it's just possible he may try the same with the manager should the time come to replace sackless
Toonpack
what the f*** will this clown do when he doesn't have shola to throw on to try and lose a game? probably switch willo to striker in the second half of games Amazing how entrenched beliefs colour perception and distort the truth. After half time we started well first couple of minutes with two attempts at goal but after that until the Anita/Shola sub they had three attempts to our none, after that substitution until the end of the match we had 7 attempts to their two. (you can check the BBC live text thing). Matches my view of what I watched, we totally dominated first half, started brightly for a very short period, then they got back into it, the Anita/Shola sub worked well, and we saw it out quite comfortably, and eventually (although rather late) got the killer goal. We only had one less attempt on goal in the second half than the first.
cp40
You put Keegan in charge of this Newcastle team and we would have more points on the board now. I have little doubt we would be in/around champions league. the sad thing is KK couldnt work with the idiots Ashley put above him. what a shame. Keegan's second spell should show anyone we'd be more than likely be at the other end of the table tbh. P21 W6 D6 L9 He never really repeated his first spell with us anywhere. The teams above us are Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham and Man Utd. I would agree that our performances could be better, especially in the second half but I struggle to believe we SHOULD be above any of those sides. Ste
There were signs with that 4-3-3 that we were headed in the correct direction under Keegan. Slow start but I believe most managers would have struggled with that squad under those circumstances.

Cajun
I would cut off a finger to have Keegan managing us long term but if Pardew does go it will be Kinnear. We may as well talk about signing Messi as it is as likely as us signing a manager who will cost a lot of wages and possibly buying him out of a contract.
