I. don't think that means he's a bad manager, Howe and Iraola also struggled early on to impose their systems on players who weren't used to it. Man U fans and their owner will need a lot of faith and perseverence if they really believe in Amorin. Yep and I don't know if he has the pragmatism to just play a basic system, get a few wins and get to the summer where he can mold his squad to be more suited to his philosophy. midds Posted Sunday at 17:41 Share Posted Sunday at 17:41 Nah, they won't sack him like and nor should they. He's inherited ten Hag's sack of shit and hasn't had the chance to remove that stench before he even tries to implement his own stamp on his squad. I know he's brought his system with him and he's adamant that he's not changing it in any way - it's admirable but by coming out so publically and insisting on it he's painted himself into a corner, managers and players know exactly what's coming meaning they're predictable and if he does change it it looks 'weak' because he's insisted he won't. Even if it's the right thing to do, he's tied his own hands together. Also, I know that squad isn't suited to that formation but surely players costing millions and millions of pounds can be sat down and told how to modify their normal game. Insanely talented players should be able to make a decent fist of adjusting their game using their skills and doing the job that's being asked of them rather than just doing their normal thing? Blaming the players for not being able to slightly change the way they play is about a damning criticism as you can get - running/working, controlling, passing and shooting the football are basics that they should all be excellent at - yes the tactical/positioning side of things needs a bit of time but they're stinking the place out

wfmk2 Posted Sunday at 17:45 Share Posted Sunday at 17:45 If Man Utd (or Spurs) win the Waffa Cup this year, and if the PL coefficient is highest, will 5th still get a CL place? Wrong thread to ask, I know.

kingxlnc Posted Sunday at 17:46 Share Posted Sunday at 17:46 Tbh Rafa Benitez would have sorted this out and made them tough to beat and winning again hes had poor talent in his last few jobs would have been a safer pair of hands than Amorim

There's not an industry on the planet pays more and yet so many involved don't want to, or can't be arsed, to be open to new ideas. Almost like once they've got the fat contract, why bother? Decky Posted Sunday at 18:00 Share Posted Sunday at 18:00 Just read that Italy would have got 6 spots if Atalanta finished outside of the top 5 so yeah, we don't have to worry about that.
Sibierski Posted Sunday at 18:00 Share Posted Sunday at 18:00 Ratcliffe can’t be far off thinking what the fuck is this guy doing and saying, and sacking him off. Not like they’re wedded to him, just be a financial write off which can be balanced out by selling Garnacho.

Literally what’s there is what he has to use because they’re players they’ve spent money on for a manager to use. Can’t be blaming likes of Lindelof, Shaw, Rashford for this because the fuckers are not playing and results and most performances are still shit Not a great advert for him that all he needs is to sell a load, spend a load. Same they did with ETH and nothing suggests so far it will be much different bar he speaks better and has his ‘principles’ which is ‘I will stick with 3 at the back regardless’.
