You're a big club Bobby. A well supported club. Once the crown prince dipped his fingers in, you were only going one way.

Money doesn't buy success as Man Utd have proven 100%. From a personal view their demise is glorious to see having suffered years of gloating by their glory hunting fans.

He has to shoulder some of the responsibility. I’m amazed how much of a free pass he keeps getting from the media and fans of other clubs.

They’ve managed to get worse under him. Although it is hard to properly judge because of them tanking for the Europa and how rigid he has been with his system. But then he has to take a lot of the blame there.

I'm not going to cape for the guy but I can only assume he is/was taking the long-view, even if the current crop can't deliver it.

He poured everything into the Europa, knowing he couldn't compete domestically. And in parts, they played okay (relative to their capability) through the competition from what I saw. Even yesterday, as poor as they were, a draw wouldn't have been an unfair result I thought.

If the spine of his long-term vision was intended to change this summer, I think maybe he thought there was limited value to gutting it out in the PL week-in week-out - while safe from relegation. What's the difference between 11th and 17th for them, really?

Now I don't agree with that view, and I think culture change is important and needs to start somewhere. He's definitely not above criticism, and he seems to be getting a fair bit. Some he deserves IMO.

I felt like he began to "get it" towards the end of the season, but maybe too late.

Anyway, he doesn't seem unlikable to me (yet!) and they hired him for a reason. Reckon they will give him at least a window or two to put his stamp on the club.

I don't think Amorim does that at all. He talks about how it's his job to improve the team and that it ultimately lies with him and if he can't turn it around he will walk. He's also open and honest about how bad it is, because that's the truth. I know that's not how all managers are, and I'm not saying it's definitely the right way to be either but it's quite refreshing.

The thing with Ten Hag is that he was brought in to play the same football he played at Ajax. He tried it, it didn't work, and then he went back to playing the way Ole did. Literally within the first few games as well. He got pelters from opposition fans and the media for not having his own style of play and he ended up being very pragmatic to try and win games. He won us two trophies, but you didn't know how he was going to set up from one game to the next. I don't think those players had a clue what was going on.

Amorim has had ups and downs, but at least he has his way of playing. We can build an identity under him. We've improved in a lot of areas, but are still miserable in others. I do genuinely think a good RWB and a top striker makes a huge, huge difference though. I just want this season to end so we can find out.

Dalot is a good RWB.

He's really not mate. He's a liability.

He's good enough when he's in a Portugal shirt. He's a talented lad. I bet, if he moved on you'd see him playing well at a new club.

I've even seen you say he's a good player, I'm certain of it!

Something is badly off all over at ManU. You can't have that many decent to good players out of form for so long.

Incorrect, and more Goldbridge baiting to try and get engagement. That rumour actually started on a Facebook page posted by some guy called Ephraim Y Gwanzwang.

The £5m add-ons were Premier League winner clauses, where we have to play £1m each time we won the league if Mount played in 70% of the games. It was reported Ornstein and The Athletic. Never being paid.

He is a good player, he just gets caught out of position far too much as a right wing back. Under Ten Hag in a back four he was one of our better performers.

Genuinely made me laugh that, Ratcliffe must have massive regrets about buying this shit and he doesn't even totally own it !!. I bet he's hoping to flip it as soon as he can.

If/when Trippier leaves/retires I'd be more than happy if we signed Dalot as a replacement.

There must be a way Amorim can get a tune out of him.

I think Amorim really likes him. I'm just making that observation as a fan. I feel like we get exposed down the side far too often with Dalot or Mazraoui in that position. A new right wing back is needed IMO, but I don't think they'll prioritise it.

Both teams sleepwalked through the season from late December onwards on the idea that they would win the Europa and basically get to pretend it had all been a bad dream.

For one of them it was always going to end up a nightmare.

That’s an anagram of Dan Ashworth.

Amorim has been dealt a really shoddy hand. There's virtually no steel in the squad. Maguire for all his many faults at least showed commitment. Fernandes was super disappointing yesterday. Casemiro tried, but he's on his last legs. Less said about Rasmus the better. (Not intended to rub salt in the wounds, Frog).

Eh? He's been given a 3/4 free pass.

I've never seen a manager get a ride as easy as he has. Worst ppg than Paul Jewell.

As Utd are my most hated team, I very much enjoyed the result of Europa.

Mind you, Spurs are not far behind them on my hate scale, but I am Australian and all Australians love Ange to bits.

Even Arsenal fans in Oz want Ange to do well. 17th in the league plus a Europe trophy is just about perfect.
