Rodgers likes to make out that he's some kind of technically gifted coach but the way Mourinho and then Pulis got to his team, doesn't say much for his tactical awareness. 3-0 up and cruising, that result for Liverpool is inexcusable.

They've bottled this far in excess of how we did in '96. Man United chased us down like a rabid dog, this mob have just chucked it away through their own naivety.

Load of guff that. They lost to Chelsea at home and drew with a team in brilliance form away on the back of a crazy amount of wins.

They lost to Chelsea by piling forward and being stupid in a game they didn't even need to win. A draw there and they only need to win tonight instead of needing to go suicidal to try and correct the GD.

They were far too desperate to show Chelsea that the mighty Liverpool were back and fell right into the trap.

Still nothing like dropping a 12 point lead though. Not even on the same planet.

dunno this was literally their title they had 1 and half hands on it and completely blew it and bottled it. And its all down to Steven Gerrard to just make that bit more delicious

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Every single second of Liverpool misery, live and in HD.

The pressure was on and they choked big time. It all equals out in the end.

It must be medical rather than McDonalds-related IMO.

A 12 point lead in January vs a 9 point lead (over Man City) with 3 games left?

Their failure, assuming they do, blows ours out of the water man.

That's a bit of a knee-jerk imo, they've been excellent generally and at 3-0 it made sense for them to go after the goal difference. Absolutely right on the last point though, drawing after that is inexcusable. Chelsea was the big fuck up.

Hilarious like.

Rodgers is a fantastic manager man; Chelsea result/slip and tonight cost them the title, imo. I will add the Henderson factor too as he was instrumental in the way they played in that brilliant run.

I'd put it throughout the season their defense has never been anywhere near the standard of the attack and much as its not terribly popular defending well is just as important as attacking. Basic errors out of guys under Rafa who really could defend brilliantly and if the refs had any balls they'd be giving away a penalty every game thanks to Skrtel pushing and pulling every set piece

Exactly, they've still done brilliantly. Nobody expected them to be anywhere near. At least Rodgers has a philosophy.
