You can't sign a new contract with a big loyalty fee and then organise a transfer with a club 8 months later. Seems to be similar to what Pulis did at Palace (mind what pulis did was even worse). He's at arguably the best place to be to develop his game when it comes to facilities, coaching and learning on a tactical level, yet wants the comfort of home.
