Cech is an outstanding signing for Arsenal. Can't believe Mourinho's allowed that.

That Sczesny was so calamitous man. 50% of Cech is better than him.

A decade worth of service - he goes where he wishes and it's only fair. He's not even in the first team anymore. Anything less would be vindictive.

Yeah, and we're talking about Mourinho here

I'm genuinely surprised. Nice for him though, for sure.

Erm... Sergio Ramos would be a brilliant signing. Has a good injury record. Is a tremendous athlete. Still got a lot of running in his legs. A leader. A man for the clutch moments. Scores goals. Comfortable on the ball. Strong. Excellent in the air. IMO he's getting better with age. He's maturing and less likely to be sent off these days. Sergio Ramos is a King.

Can't see it happening anyway, isn't he due to become Real club captain?

He's still a good player obviously, but if the price is anywhere near the rumoured 200m Euros, that's just daft.

£11m for Cech? Not sure about that one.

He's not one of the world's top keepers like he once was, but I'd much rather have a season of Cech than a season of Sczcesny or Ospina. Arsenal have been crying out for a dependable keeper for ages, this could turn out to be amazing business.

Tbf Balague is full of s***, oh so he knows what his release clause is - whoopdee s***. I Real got an offer of £40m + De Gea (which I don't think would happen because it would be terrible business from ManU) they'd snap their hands of for it, especially given he's so close to his 30's now.

The key to a good keeper is that they don't make daft mistakes, even if they are not making worldy saves every week.

You want to depend on a keeper at corners, organisation and handling etc. To Arsenal, who have struggled for dependable keepers since Seaman, Cech will be a god send.

11m is a bargain, in their position.

Just winding real up for a bigger fee basically.

Aside from their Marquee signings (Bale, James, Cronaldo) - Real are fairly sensible in the transfer market. They're not Man Utd lol. The fees spent on Modric, Kroos, ADM, Isco, Ozil look very good.

There's not many players in their team they couldn't at least recoup their fees on. Probably includes Bale as well tbf. They seem to sign most of their players the right side of 25. When a lot of them are sold they're still 26/27 and can demand massive fees. That does mean they are the fools who sold a 27 year old Arjen Robben who despite a long history of injuries was still rapid at like... 30 or whatever.

Never needing to sell players, rarely having players that want to leave helps like.

Don't particularly rate Cech but he's better than what they have

What happened to you man? This is all so disappointing.

That GM of yours has completely compromised your whole character. Sad to see.

Cech's still great imo, will depend on how well he copes playing with a higher line in front of him but I think that's very good business for Arsenal.

Can't think of anyone else (in any position) they could get for £10m that will probably have the same effect on results that Cech will.

how many times do you hear "that was an uncharacteristic mistake" when he plays. After a while those mistakes are completely characteristic imo

The guy is a top keeper man. Better than what they've got and probably could realistically get for that fee.

Maybe so a few years ago but that certainly hasn't been the case for the past 3 or so seasons. (Obviously really excluding last year before anybody pipes up with that shit)
