ponsaelius
Just caught up on the Delph news. UEFA need to get rid of this home grown thing like it's ridiculous players that they wouldn't give a shite about get put into positions where stupid money above their ability is turning their heads to potentially ruin their careers. It's a PL/FA rule, not UEFA. Dyke wants to decrease (the number of non-HG players) from 17 to 13 as well, so its only likely to get worse.

Champions League you need 8 home grown players in the 25 don't you? One of the reasons City & Chelsea were linked with Alex Song.
Neil
Don't think he handles pressure well at all. It's a gamble but if he can get on top of that then he's going to be genuinely world class. What makes you say that? I've seen nothing which would indicate he would be world class. Very good, yes, but his reputation is unfounded currently. Very good, yes, but his reputation is unfounded currently. i think he's got the raw talent to go to the top personally, he's got all of the physical and technical attributes required imo and just needs his own head in the right place and the right manager/setup around him would have preferred him to go to barca or bayern myself, he'd never have looked back

We don't need to have it in the PL; France, Germany and Spain etc don't. Its the PL ruling thats inflating prices more, because you play 38 games a season and clubs want a full squad. Plus you've got 20 teams scrapping for 'HG' players rather than just 4.

Yorkie
Yellow ticker on SSN. Further details on twitter... "Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign Raheem Sterling for £45m. Sterling will earn £200,000 per week." Just an obscene amount of money. Just short of a hundred million pounds for the services of a good, potentially very good player. Twinport53
Does this prove that Liverpool aren't a big club. Like Rodgers said about Soton, you don't have to sell your best players.
