Had he been more patient he'd have been a starter sooner rather than later), but Pique was on his way with us. He just wanted to go back to Spain. Nothing you can do, and I'm fairly sure they had a buy back option. A real shame about Pogba (from your perspective). You've lacked central midfield quality since Scholes left (the second time). He's not a like-for-like replacement (there's too few like Scholes about in general, and fewer still of anything approaching his calibre) but what a smoother transition Man Utd might have made from the Ferguson era to this one with Pogba to take over from Scholes. I think he wanted to go to Roma, basically Fiorentina paid 1m euros as a loan fee but Salah refused to go. Fiorentina then requested another player on loan (Loftus-Cheek if you believe the Football Italia website) and requested that Chelsea block Salah's move to Roma, I think Inter were sniffing around too.
