BeloEmre
Ahh. And no european clubs tried to get him in January? He's pretty decent isn't he?
ponsaelius
Plenty have been linked. Chelsea, Inter, Juve, Atletico.
Guest
I think he's been linked with West Ham in the past. He'll be on a fair wedge at PSG I reckon (£80k+ maybe?), not sure he's worth the hassle.
Flip
Some okish players in China now. Ramires, Ba, Lavezzi, Alex Teixeira, Paulinho, Goulart, Guarin, Jackson, MBia, Gervinho, Gyan, Yilmaz. Few other Brazilians and Argentinians there as well who did well in SA.
Guest
Only allowed 3 foreigners in the side as well. Wonder if they'll soon change that rule.
ponsaelius
4 foreigners + 1 Asian foreign player.
Guest
FM is shit then. Would only let me play 3....oh, and you aren't allowed to sign non-Chinese keepers.
ponsaelius
Maybe only allowed 3 per matchday? Some of the players that end up in these leagues. Jucilei has gone from Anzhi, to Al-Jazira in the UAE and then onto a Chinese team. Somehow managing to pickup a Palestine passport in the process (so he can count as an Asian player). What a way to play out a career.

What a waste.
Guest
The Chinese League TV deal increased from £6.2m, to £800m this year....might explain things.
Village Idiot
In more China news, their local press are now banging about a bid for Arda Turan, €20m/year.

Leazes_End_Mag
Saw something on Twitter about a Chinese team wanting Payet for £38m too. Rumours are he's bickering with WHU about a new contract as the chinese club would offer him 125k p/w so he wants the same terms to stay.
Guest
That's after tax too so West Ham would need to pay him about £250k.
Yorkie
Mind, it would be kinda sickly funny seeing Mercenary X, Y and Z fucking off to China every transfer window. Suck it, Premier League.

Suck it, Premier League. Mercenary? LOL. If someone's willing to double your wages for the same job - why wouldn't you do it? Especially once you've hit the pinnacle in your career. International football will be the biggest hurdle imo. Difficult for the likes of Payet to get selected if he's in China.

Yorkie
Imagine being so arsed about earning more than £80grand a week that you'd fuck off top level football to play in that league. It's sheer and utter greed.

It's sheer and utter greed. It's all relative - people almost always want to make more money. It's human nature, it just seems wrong when you want a raise to buy a 3rd house and a yacht instead of wanting a raise to be able to send your kid to college. It's human nature, it just seems wrong when you want a raise to buy a 3rd house and a yacht instead of wanting a raise to be able to send your kid to college. I'm pretty sure you can do all of that on £80k a week as well. FWIW, saw an interview with Ighalo the other week that he turned down £200k a week in China in the summer because he was happy to have fired Watford into the PL and wanted to stay. Signed a new contract worth £30k a week, seems to be able to survive on that somehow.
