3 Goals in the Last 7 games

It will probably improve when Remy/Gouff are back but we've had a problem getting goals from midfield (- Cabaye) and defence for absolutely ages so it's no surprise.

Having 1out of form creative player in the team at a time doesn't help mind.

Anyone know the last time we were this timid infront of goal? 6 out 7 is appalling regardless of who you're playing.

the squad is woefully short in key area's without Cabaye theres 0 creativity in the centre of midfield, minus Remy we have 0 goal threat up front either with only Shola and a half fit De Jong to work with.

Not really true

                          Sissoko      Tiote

Ben Arfa                          Marv                      Remy

                                  De Jong/gouff

The tactics are crap and there's no creativity and a lack of finishing ability.

The End.

And this is why we will be lucky to see another win this season.  Shocking state of affairs but like John Anderson says "We're in eighth place, what do people want?"

Fucking muppets, the lot of them.

pointless putting Marveaux in there he isn't going to start a game unless there is literally no other option and frankly I'm far from convinced he's much good.

It's only pointless putting him in because the bloke who picks the team's shit at his job.

Tbf 3 of those games were against the top 3 but that's obviously not the worrying thing - 0 goals against West Brom, Norwich and sunderland is a concern.  Thank fuck we beat West Ham.

The results against the better sides were generally patching up the poor results against shite ones earlier in the season. Now the better sides are beating us and the other results haven't improved.

That's why I was incredibly irritated by dreary patter earlier in the season about "doesn't matter that we didn't beat Shite Team X because we beat Good Team Y" - you can't consistently beat good teams unless you're one yourself (and we're not) so those results were always going to come to an end and we've done nothing to address the fact that we get beaten by shit teams more than the vast majority of the rest of the league do.

When our players spend most of their time in our own half then we aren't going to score many goals. We always wondered what would happen when remy was out of the team for any length of time. Now we know.

Again another very good point which is attributed to Pardew negative tactics.

When we defend we bring the entire team back which means when we do get the ball we can't transition as we have no players in positions to either retain possession or counter

When we do attack, we have no width as both left sided players cut inside. Then we don't get players in the box to support the striker when we do get good positions. The lone striker is usually marked easily because he's the only one in a scoring position. We are a very defensive team.

We spent half a season scoring 2 goals a game quite often, you ungrateful b******s. And you all wonder why we're roundly mocked for our delusions of grandeur.

Played 25, scored 32.

Mackematics
