leffe186
So that's about £10mill spent when consider transfer fee, wages, agents fee, flights, lunch, sd card for the camera etc etc What was the fee (genuine question)? Around 1.5-2m mark. Cheers. Could be a nice pick-up tbh.

Stuy_O
I reckon he'll be straight in the side tbh. Excluding possibly Gomis I can't see us bringing any other strikers in, especially if they command a hefty fee. So start the season with Ayoze and Cisse? Don't forget Armstrong. Thats 3 strikers as far as Mikes concerned.
TRon
He's not 6ft so it's difficult to see how Pardew can use him except as an auxiliary left back. He'll go the same way as Bigi and Abeid

Tisd09
This signing a few years ago probably would have excited us someone, but given what Pardew and Ashley have given us over the past few seasons there is so much apathy about this signing. The poor lad is being written off because of our clown of a manager. I really hope this lad gets a chance to develop probably not spend a year in our development squad, then to be mis-used when needed in the first team and then written off by management as a mistake and then loan the bastard to Doncaster. r0cafella
He looks talented to me, I think Pardew is the problem here. I don't think putting him in the development squad is a good idea since its inception no one has actually developed

Willow
The 20-year-old attracted interest from Newcastle boss Alan Pardew after scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances for the Spanish second tier side. Perez started his career at Tenerife, progressing through the youth ranks, but is relishing his new challenge at St James' Park. "I'm very happy to be here to start this new adventure," he told the club's official website. "I'm very eager for it to begin and I'm very pleased to play for this magnificent club. "Any football player would be interested in playing for such a club and I will earn my position to get in the first team." And Pardew added: "We're delighted to confirm our first signing of the summer and very pleased to have Ayoze at Newcastle United, as a number of other clubs were chasing his signature too. "He had a terrific season in Spain last year and is a player who we hope to develop further on Tyneside. "He's only 20 but has a very good eye for goal and that's a great asset for any young player to have."

SEMTEX
Young strikers are probably the easiest type of player to ruin as well. Good decision by Pardie, he's obviously fed up of the 3 month lull where players still show signs of their ability, instead of just working hard and covering a fullback.
