TRon
The flick for his goal was outrageous. It won't have been lost on Rafa, goals like that would grace the Premier league. Top class finishing.

afar
12 goals, not a bad return at all but he's capable of more, definitely come good in the last few games though when we needed him, I think that's possibly saved his NUFC career.
Tiresias
Didn't realise he got to 12 goals, reasonable for someone in and out of the side. Needs work on his confidence, he couldn't hold down a place long enough to build it up and so too often looked shorn of it. Also looked weak as piss at times which was disappointing as remember him being good with his low centre of gravity. Anyway Hope he can carry this late season form on through
John P
Last few games he's been the player I thought he would be in the Championship. Started the season well from what I remember, but he had a good few months where he was pretty poor, was getting pushed off the ball, seemed to have no pace etc, don't know what went wrong with him. Let's hope the form from the last month or two is what he takes into the new season because I can't help but like him.
joeyt
Yeah I hope he will really kick on and use the confidence from the last month or so into next season. He was absolutely superb on Sunday
Figures 1-0 Football
Maybe (similar to a lot of our other players), his struggle for consistent form was due to the fact that he was constantly rotated in and out of the side. We played 46 league games and he only started 24 of them. His best stuff was at the end of the season, when he was picked on a regular basis. Not really sure he had a "poor season" when he finished our 3rd highest goalscorer, only behind Gayle and Ritchie. A few poor games, aye, but a poor season? Ikon
It's because we know how talented he is, and how good he can be. Very happy to see him finding some form at the end of this season But, aye, poor season might be going too far. If his form didn't pick up then yeah maybe. Billy Pilgrim
I like Perez a lot. He's an unorthodox type of forward, the thing he's missing more than anything is pace but if he had that he'd likely be less good with the ball coming at him awkwardly when he's static and he wouldn't be at Newcastle tbf. He's a clever finisher and though he can be bullied out of games he's definitely worth persevering with and one of our better players imo.

Played up front on his own a few times in the prem and done well (amazing that movement andfinishing can make up for brute strength) and as much as I don't think that would be ideal for him I think he'll do better in the prem than the champ (performanced wise he already did)
Kanj
sometimes i'd rather he just play as the main striker versus trying to make him into this #
TRon
Hound him...in? We are in danger of becoming too sophisticated. Bring back John Charver.
Ketsbaia
Keep forgetting we have Perez but I think he might actually have a good season after we fail to sign a #10.
Tiresias
He's one of those between two stools players though, not enough of a finisher to be a no 9 not enough of a creator to be a no 10. Sounds like he was very good against Hellas, would be nice if that carried through maybe he can find a more lethal edge to his game and nail down that position even if it doesn't quite fit. Definitely think if he could learn to shoot a bit less predictably (think, may be wrong, too many of his shots are reasonably tame more than being off target or out) and toughen up. Big ifs now as he was pretty rubbish for too much of last season.

Tiresias
he loves to place his shots but would like to see him just smack them a bit This, too many meek kicks close to keeper is the result.

Guest Howaythetoon
For no know reason I have a funny feeling he will step up this season and become a key player for us. I just have that hunch that for some reason out of all our players he is the one that can step it up and considerably so over his Championship campaign. themanupstairs
He has a decent scoring record for a young lad who came in from the Spanish second tier. There's no doubt he has bags of talent. It's up to Rafa and his staff to get him right mentally and physically so he can showcase what he's got.
